Had an excellent medium cod and chips yesterday, good service and freshly cooked meal. Ate it on the seats overlooking the Crouch. Will visit again soon.

1st time trying jolly fryer since the new owners and I have to say its nice to be able to choose what you want your fish cooked in. The staff was lovely and friendly, great food and brilliant customer service. The added touch to be able to order online and choose a time to collect really helps. 👍
This in my humble opinion is the best fish and chips shop in the area. We have never had a bad one from here.
Mostly when you are given your food its so hot it's hard to hold so its alway nice to eat hot food when you get it home.

Best fish and chips I've ever eaten. The food is amazing and the staff are wonderful. John is a real character and Lyn is an excellent front of house host. Annabel (who served us today) is polite and friendly, a real asset to the business.
