Excellent food, fast service, modern clean and tidy.
My fish n chips was cooked just right and well presented. Lovely sitting out on the balcony taking in the view. My friends were also very impressed with their meals. Plenty of parking. Will definitely visit again!

Had a fantastic evening at our friends anniversary party. The venue was brilliant, a wide variety of drinks at very reasonable prices, the staff were friendly and helpful and the buffet was absolutely superb - homemade and incredibly tasty. Would definitely recommend The Swallowtail if you're looking for a great venue to celebrate a milestone event.
We only had a coffee each, but it was really good. Served with a hot, proper cup and saucer and a little biscuit on the side. We are planning a return trip for with weekend breakfast or lunch
My husband and I got married here in April this year and shared the most amazing day to cherish forever. Kay Mick, Natalie and the rest of the Swallowtail team were absolutely fabulous. Mick’s food is of such a high standard all 95 of our guests were blown away by his cooking. We love the river so much and stayed on our boat the night of the wedding in the marina. The next morning they even done us and close family a lovely breakfast. They truly made our wedding so successful our friends and family will be talking about it for years and years! Thank you guys we are so pleased we chose Swallowtails as our venue. ❤️
Just got home from a very nice meal at the swallowtail. The food was fantastic as we're the staff and the surroundings. Will definately be making another visit. I have no problem with recommending this venue. Will be back soon.
Went here for dinner yesterday. They were very busy with a large table, but still managed to fit us in quite quickly.
Food was excellent, staff were very helpful, good value for money. It was great to see such a good range of tasty gluten free options; much appreciated for the extra effort this takes.

Attended a wedding. Beautiful location. The wedding was great.
Ok selection of beers. The food was fantastic. Only criticism was that we were crammed in like sardines in the wedding breakfast.

Having just finished the best breakfast I have had in ages I had to share this place! Under new management for the last year or so I hadn't managed to get around to popping in, but I heard they were doing a weekend buffet breakfast for £9.95 inc tea or coffee (or £4.95 for under 12s) so made the effort, and am so glad I did! Made with local produce (including I suspect the famous Burnham Bangers!) the breakfast is all you can eat, and really good quality. By far the best I have had in a while at any price, let alone at this value. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but they do recommend booking in advance, the day menu and desserts also looked great so I am sure we will be back again soon!

We have just put our boat in the marina here for the season and are so glad we did. The Swallowtail is the marina bar and restaurant. It has a fantasic view over the marina, a great relaxed atmosphere and is very friendly indeed. I can see we will be frequent visitors.
Went for a birthday party at weekend and it was very organized and friendly although a few people had slight issues with their food, this was soon put right and a discount was offered at the end of the meal. Fish and chips were lovely though! A nice location for a drink or meal.
