Without doubt, the best fish and chips we have had during this visit home to the UK. We now live in Australia so always miss stuff like this and on this occasion, it far exceeded expectations and incredible value for money

The best fish and chips for miles around, won’t go anywhere else.
12 mths later and I take it all back. Just had steak and kidney pie and the worst chips I’ve ever had. Absolutely soaked in grease and a case of hunt the decent chip, mainly scrap hard bits of potato. Will not be going back

As an occasional user for a number of years, the batter and fish portion and texture are consistently wonderful.

I stopped by to pick up a quick bite after an exhausting day. I asked for small chips and ended up with enough to feed 2 people. Good value for money. It seems to be busy most evenings I drive past, and the chips were lovely.

Straight away headed to this place for the reviews they’ve got, was definitely not disappointed the portion sizes are brilliant really good value for money, I think we ordered small fish and chips and the size of it we could of really shared it, the food was cooked fresh, really clean inside and the woman serving was friendly, definitely worth a try if your in the area and it’s not to far off the m5 either about 2.5 mile so not to long and worth a little diversion

An outstanding , perfect fish and chip supper, served with a pot of curry sauce. The standard portion is enormous, in my opinion , enough for two adults. The batter on my cod portion was light, the fish chunky and white, very fresh. The lemon wedge addedd shows attention to detail in serving the takeaway. Nice chips , and served with slightly sweet curry sauce. A very satisfying meal, a 9.5/19. Friendly service too. I devoured from the M5 on my way back to Chard, as this is a hidden gem , we'll worth a visit, just 5 minutes from the M5 motorway.

Brilliant food, good for money can feed plenty if you don't have a lot of money and you have kids. I used to go bait box not anymore. Highly recommended the star fish bar.

Great fish and chip shop. Food is always excellent and service is friendly. Can get very busy in the evening, so I would recommend phoning in your order. Great selection of items on the menu including kebabs.
