It was relatively quiet for a Saturday night, we decided to go somewhere the kids could eat and play, it also makes the adult dining experience much more pleasant when the children are entertained. We arrived at about 5pm. There was a free car park out the front, entered the restaurant to 2 friendly staff members who greeted us and asked if we had reserved (we had) took us to our table right away, the staff member asked about allergies (none). Tables were clean and well stocked with enough menus for everyone, I took the orders from the family and ordered them at the bar, again asked about any allergies, which is good to see that it's taken seriously. We had an offer so for every adult meal a child ate for free, we had 3 adult meals and 3 children's meals, with drinks it cost £52 which is great value. I paid for the 3 children to go in the soft play area, which is suitable for up to 10 years old that cost £13.50 for all 3. The kids played whilst we waited for the food, which came quickly and was lovely. Kids got 3 courses and we had starters and mains, too full for dessert. We stayed about 2 hours in total. The only downside was the restrooms which needed a very good clean 😔 that's why it didn't get full 5 stars. I can't say it was very busy and it wasn't the end of the night so no excuse for dirty facilities. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and professional.
Called in with our granddaughter so she could burn some energy off, we had Steak and ale pie, mash and peas, Gammon and chips and Sausage and mash and free refills on hot drinks and coke. Cant complain really about anything it was all good hot and tasty....... I'm sure the menu is more or less the same as it was when I last went in over 5yrs ago
It took a while for us to be served at the bar and we jokingly said they needed a bell as there was no one there for at least 5 minutes. The food however was really good and we all enjoyed our meals. I was impressed by the children's 3 course meal which my son enjoyed. We are in the beer garden and it was nice and quiet.
Nice place, foods nice, staff are polite. Also booked there for my daughters 7th Birthday, her & her friends had a great time in the play area & really loved the food the drinks, the facepainting & the party activities the very lovely enthusiastic young lady did with them, literally everyone had a great time & my daughter was overwhelmed with happiness saying it was the best birthday party ever, I can't post pics of the party area because it's got all the children in those pics but I highly recommend.
We turned up without booking to use a discount and were met with a polite and helpful member of staff who found us a table promptly despite it being reserved later in the day she informed us what time she needed the table which gave us more than enough time to have our meal and chat before leaving.
The server on the carvery was polite and chatted pleasantly.
Our only issue with the place was poor decor on the ceiling where there looked like it had , had a leak of sorts that had not been redecorated after being sorted.
The food was hot and plentiful and all staff we came across were pleasant. I would definitely recommend it to friends.
We both had the carvery which offered a choice of 3 meats.
We were disappointed that there were no dietary recommendations for diabetics.
Amazing we had a party of 20 booked in today for my sons 16th birthday I could of asked for better service the staff went above and beyond for our group they made sure every one got there meal at the same time food was hot and fresh very polite came and asked us if we needed anything. We took our own birthday cake with us I went and told staff we was ready for it and they lit the candles brought it over and sang happy birthday . I'm so so happy they made my boys birthday that extra bit special thank you I will definitely be comming again .
Clear signage to the carpark with lots of spaces, friendly and super quick check in at reception, big, clean, comfy rooms.
Nipped in next door to the Brewers Fayre for a bite to eat.
Went with the rump steak and it melted in my mouth. Poor lighting and the pic doesn't do it enough justice.
All the bar staff extremely easy on the eye and genuinely friendly, Nicole was a star.
What's not to like.
Usually these places just churn out your food, but have to say the service and friendliness of the staff was very refreshing, the food was OK and freshly cooked and tasty, nice play area for children8
Come with 8 children yesterday and my friend absolutely fantastic day food was great will be visiting again soon
First time me and my husband have dined hear and I have to say we were rather impressed and the surroundings are beautiful. We loved all the staff they were friendly and very helpful we will certainly come back again when we stay at the Premier inn
Went for Sunday cavery but when I looked at what was on offer I decided against it. Food on the hot plate looked overcooked and unappetising. Settled on a steak and when it came steak was cooked to the right temperature but it was like rubber to eat. Onion rings were overcooked and the chips were soggy.
On a better mote the staff was lovely and friendly and the place over all was clean and pleasant.
Came here today to celebrate my mother in law getting married as they only wanted a low key wedding. The staff were so welcoming and even gave the newlyweds a bottle of prosecco on ice for the 7 of us to share and a congratulations card. The meals were all amazing and we couldn't fault a thing. Massive thank you to Chelsea and Morgan and the chefs Ella and Laura.
