Gourmet Munchies

This vegan cafe is based on Burnley market, and is centrally based. Had a lovely dinner (lunch) here today. Ordered the curried sweet potato and chickpea curry which was delicious and healthy. Also tried the dark chocolate vanilla and orange swirl cake, the carrot cake and ordered a coffee with hazelnut milk with maple syrup plus dark chocolate orange truffles to takeaway. All for the bargain price of £17.20. I enjoyed everything I tried and would order them again. Newly opened (11/1/18), the owners Steph and Scott (a couple) are lovely and friendly as were the other customers, it was refreshing to enjoy like-minded conversation about veganism, including health, environment and ethics. There is a comfortable seating area inside as well as a bar you can sit at which has 3 stools. They offer soups, mains, sides and sweet treats as well as an array of hot drinks. They plan to change the menu seasonally and will tailor the menu according to demand. This is a brilliant place to enjoy a meal, or to stop for a tea/coffee and a cake. As I am from Burnley, I am even more delighted that a vegan eatery has opened locally. I will definitely be recommending this and most certainly will be back.
