Very nice friendly pub and great staff members. The lovely waitress who served us on Monday night was very friendly and made sure that all our needs were met. We will 100% return again in the future. Great ribeye steaks too, top notch.

We had a lovely evening when we dined out for a birthday meal. The food was excellent as were the drinks which are reasonably priced. The service from the staff was outstanding in particular Sam and Amy who made sure all our needs were catered for, they are both lovely and polite members of staff. Highly recommended with excellent service and professional but friendly staff.

Came in for lunch and really enjoyed the food. We had the seafood grill and wild boar bangers and mash off the specials, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were hosted by Sam who was patient with us and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be returning soon

I had a really fantastic meal at The Wheatsheaf yesterday, November 1, with a friend of mine. We had the steak ciabatta which was delicious and the service, by Zoë, was outstanding. Such fun to be served by her who made us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend and will be back again for sure.

I visited here last Saturday with my mates, very nice atmosphere and I would like to give a special mention to Sam and Amy who were both very professional during our meal; I ordered a steak and ale pie and it was lovely. Will definitely be coming back again when we are in the area

Came in for Sunday dinner at 2 today. Very popular restaurant but managed to get a table. Sam sat us down and looked after us the whole time as we had delicious warm roast dinners. Highly recommended

Breakfast at the Wheatsheaf was lovely. Really quick and polite service. Food was tasty and good value for money. Coffee was amazing too! Would recommend.

Everything was lovely - the food was delicious, the service friendly and professional, the atmosphere was relaxed - a very enjoyable lunch. Looking forward to returning, as there are lots of tempting dishes on the menu and we received a very warm welcome.

Mid afternoon. Only had drinks, which were excellent. The cost was good also. The service was as fast as the only service person serving could manage, who deserved 5* on her own.

Absolutely superb meal last night. Lovely friendly staff and excellent food. Great gluten free menu The hot cheese starter was delicious Steak and ale pie yummy and perfectly cooked vegetables and ideal for a chilly winters evening. Nice ice cream sundae in a decent sized sundae dish Always good to eat at a chef and brewer �

Superb lunch menu and friendly excellent service. Lunch menu great for smaller appetites and smaller budgets, yet you're eating top quality food non-chain-like.

What an Excellent meal we had on 19/12/2016. Lovely friendly staff and fabulous meal. Well presented and my little Grandson loved the chocolate flowerpot pudding. Thank you for a lovely meal and would definitely recommend anyone to go.

We had a lovely meal here last night. The food was great as were the staff, especially Richard who went out of his way to make us very welcome! Really good to be able to enjoy a meal here again!

We came here on our wedding anniversary for a lovely meal. We had the rib-eye steak, mixed grilled fish and a children's meal of fish and chips. All were cooked to perfection.

We went here for boxing day lunch 26/12/16 & it was absolutely delicious the staff were very friendly my husband had the venison and it just melted in the mouth I had the turkey if I have to complain about anything it would just be that the parsnips were not cooked enough for me as I like mine brown and soft but my husband had them and he loved them it truly was a delicious meal. Just as good as when we go for Sunday lunch. We would highly recommend

Lovely pub good atmosphere food was amazing.. staff friendly and extremely helpful with the kids... great place... and to top it off the toilets were very clean and fresh..... definitely recommended

It’s one of the best pubs I’ve ever been in ,, very accommodating for family’s ,,, I visit family and we go there for a few drinks ,, the staff are lovely and brilliant ,,,

Always like going here but staff always seem over whelmed by customers no matter what time of the day or how busy they are, went on busy Friday early doors and just one bar staff with the manager and assistant so as soon as tables were filling in dining area the bar got too busy for one person, means prolonged wait at the bar to be served!!

I made a booking for a christmas night out (which was amended a few times in the day but they were more than happy to accommodate us). The night was fantastic and so were the staff. The food was amazing and the drinks were great too. 4 ordered off the xmas menu and they absolutely loved it. The six of us had a brilliant time, we even got a picture on the page! It's a fantastic pub, made better by the staff. If any of the staff that were working on 15/12/2015 are reading this, thank you very much.

2 for 1 fizz. Not quite as have had rhubarb fizz and at full price there is a lot more fizz in the glass!!
