Phenomenal food and great service. All the dishes I had were incredible with fresh ingredients. Would highly recommend visiting pea and porridge.
Oh, my! What a wonderful place to eat. It would be very difficult to top Pea Porridge in Suffolk. We visited on Friday evening and had a very warm welcome. No need to look at the menu as the day’s specials sounded ideal. Everything was sourced locally, even down to the Bury St Edmunds brewed beer… n
Incredible food and service. Undoubtedly worth every penny. Will happily go back again and again and again.
A lovely, cosy restaurant. The staff are friendly and happy to answer questions about the menu and offer advice on wine pairings. The food is superb, top notch ingredients and the chef lets them speak for themselves. Rustic, but refined in style with bold punchy flavours, we loved every bite of our
Small restaurant with food that you would not normally taste elsewhere. The menu changes frequently and you definitely need reservations. The enjoyable part was in tasting meats that are not common. From the outside and inside too, with bare wooden tables, it looks like nothing much. But the food
Lovely restaurant & for a Michelin star it's affordable. The only reason I booked to go here was due to the star. Overall a lovely little restaurant but whilst the food was great there wasn't a "wow" factor to the food that I would expect from a Michelin star.
Fantastic meal at Pea Porridge, the staff were amazing, great reccomendation on wine. Food was stunning (all dishes, but particulalry the Quail!) and delicious. North African flavours done brilliantly. Make sure that you order the flat breads!!
We have wanted to go here for a long time. Finally got the opportunity last weekend, the food was excellent and well worth the wait. Will save up and go again, can't wait.
Wonderful service and amazing food. An imaginative menu coupled with an excellent wine menu provided a top class enjoyable experience. We had first class attention from one of the charming owners and felt thoroughly spoiled throughout our meal. Even though we went for the more expensive al a cart
Suffolk’s only Michelin starred restaurant… we had to try it. We were not disappointed. Beautiful flavours and amazingly cooked meat and breads. The service was so friendly and chatty too. We had a great time. 100% recommended.
First off, reservations required. Delicious food and excellent service, bit drab inside and out but everything else makes up for it. For having a Michelin star, it's very affordable. Local brew, huge wine list and ever changing menu! Flank steak was perfect as was the Ray. We will be back.
Second time for us at Pea Porridge, sadly we are not local to Bury St Edmunds. Food was outstanding, amazingly clever flavours. The staff were attentive, very knowledgeable yet unobtrusive. Overall, a superb evening, we cannot recommend Pea Porridge highly enough. Thankyou. We will return.
Incredible food in an adorable setting. Worth taking the time to enjoy and not rush through.
We had the most wonderful evening. The food was amazing, and the portions were generous. The service was impecable. We can highly recommend Pea Porridge for a great meal.
Amazing experience. Will be back for sure.
Wow this is our go to place! Discreet and sublime, the lobster was perfectly cooked, everything on the menu is moorishly mouthwatering it’s so hard to decide what to have. Jurga is just brilliant as front of house so welcoming and personable. The menu is sourced locally as possible or sourced from t
Outstanding. Absolutely. Outstanding. We had a brilliant meal here in January. We had beef so well cooked it fell off the fork and scallops the size of hockey pucks. Every dish was extremely well through through, with complimentary flavours that really justified this restaurant's high esteem. The
