Really like Bill's. Differentiates itself with an interesting menu like chicken pancakes, and has cool decor which makes a pleasant atmosphere. The food is nice but 4 stars and not 5 as I had the 'big cheese' and it was not very cheesy, i wonder if the cheese may of even been missed. 4 out of 5 for service as we were a small group, it was a quiet day and it felt awkward when the waiter 'double checked' that we didn't want to pay the 'stated' service charge.
Nice coffee too. Would recomend and would visit again.

Ittmy first time dining at a Bills Chain, but if they are all to the standard of Bills in Bury St Edmunds then all I can say is: wow!
The service we received was incredible. The waiting staff were attentive and welcoming,
Our food was presented beautifully and was cooked fresh to order, and piping hot.
It was absolutely delicious.
I would definitely recommend Bills Restaurant in Bury St Edmunds.

First visit here with my daughter and granddaughter. Staff all lovely, the food was great and will definitely come back. Its a large premises so enough seating. Only tiny down side was that it wasn't busy but we waited over half an hour for our food which ment we couldn't enjoy a dessert as we had a bus to catch.

I ordered 2 sets of pancakes - one bacon stack and one fruit stack. These were some of the best pancakes I have ever had, very fluffy inside and had a great flavour.
The bacon pancake was flavourful, drizzled in enough sauce to moisten the pancake, and salty. However, I found the bacon to be difficult to eat, it was quite tough compared to the pancake which made it difficult to fork. It was like I was eating two things that don’t go together.
The fruit pancake on the other hand was rather dry and dull, as it wasn’t covered in as much sauce as the bacon pancake. The fruit on the edge of the plate stole the spotlight, and shouldn’t have been the most enjoyable thing to eat on this pancake dish.

First visit here for lunch, staff all friendly. When we visited it wasn't that busy but it took quite awhile for food to arrive and although we were asked if we wanted any Condiments and said yes please, staff seemed to dissappear and we never got any. Also mentioned we would like dessert but no one came to take our order. Had to go look for someone in order to pay the bill. Plus side the food was really good, but I probably would not return.

Great restaurant, well presented and delicious food. Service was a little slow, but we weren't concerned by this as we weren't in a rush. The restaurant had quite a small front so it could be quite easy to walk past and miss, but it extends quite far back. Prices were a little high, but quality exceeded expectation. Nice atmosphere, definitely recommend.

I like the ambiance of this restaurant... The food is okay, maybe because I only order macaroni cheese a bit dry... Dessert is delicious. My daughter have the burger and she love it.
Service is good.
My colleague already plan to have Christmas lunch here. . Looking forward to it.

Went to Bill's for an early dinner before a gig at the Arc.
Lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive.
The food was excellent. Great value for money. I've been to much more expensive places and the food here outdid them by miles.
Only disappointment was the service charge that was added to the bill! I like to decide for myself if I am going to leave a tip.
Then the waitress asked if we wanted to 'round up' the bill (another £6), we said a polite 'no thanks'

Love this restaurant! The food was amazing, atmosphere is very rustic feeling and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly and kind. My food came out in a timely manner and while I waited I enjoyed their pork dumplings which were amazing! Great and unique cocktail selection as well. For my entree I ordered the minute steak with chips and was not disappointed. Definitely recommend!

Came here with work colleagues and really enjoyed the food. Lots of choice and a good range of dishes. On this occasion we were disappointed by the cocktails as some were missing garnishes or tasted bland. If ingredients are unavailable then perhaps this should be made clearer at the time our order was taken. Having said that the staff were friendly and helpful and tried their best to accommodate requests which was much appreciated.

Eaten in Bills loads and they are normally great but went here at the beginning of the month and I was very disappointed. My burger was burnt so badly it was bitter and I had to send it back. Bacon on family's breakfast was no where near cooked. However my mum had the macaroni cheese which she said was lovely. Also they make great iced tea!

Won't be back.. Nice venue but food not great, badly presented and small portions for price. Music far too loud and though it was turned down for 10 seconds, soon back up so unable to talk easily. This alone defeats the object of dining out in the first place! Then there was the issue of the "optional" 10% service charge. I decided not to give it but guess what, there was no option at all, it was just included in the amount to pay. All in all, a grim experience.
