I cannot recommend this pub enough. Although they have held various events, they had not hosted a wedding before but kindly accepted our request to be married at our local pub. They really gave us a day that we will remember and cherish forever. The effort that Laura put in to organising this not to mention the outstanding food and service on the day. My children and I also have lots of allergies but Lawrence managed to cater for these during each course of the meal so thank you very very much. Our day went better than I could ever have wished for so thank you to everyone at Swann Inn Lawshall for making this happen x x

Love our new local. Amazing food and everyone makes you feel so welcome. Have taken lots of friends and family and they all want to go back. Hubby will tell you it is the best steak and kidney pudding he has ever eaten! :-)
My family of 11 people had an amazing time at the Swan inn today. The Sunday Roast lamb was exceptional with all the trimmings, and great value. The deserts where also delicious and the staff very helpful and accommodating. The four children in our family where able to play safely outside in the huge garden with a huge sand pit! A wonderful time spent on a Sunday afternoon.
Really enjoyed Sunday lunch. Really tasty roast. Huge portions so go large if you dare!
Deserts were also really nice with homemade ice cream.
Sunday lunch for less than a tenner and eat like a king!

Went for our wedding anniversary meal earlier this year, it was fantastic. The food was really excellent and unique, its NOT your average pub grub. All the staff really made us feel relaxed, can't wait for the family meal we have booked in November.

Highly recommended. These guys hosted our wedding in Sept 2020. Laura and her team were extremely flexible especially in the covid restriction circumstances and was happy to do whatever necessary to make the day feel as normal as possible within the rules. Our day just wouldn't have been able to go ahead if it wasn't for these amazing people.
They went above and beyond to provide a relaxed yet profession service which we were both extremely happy with.
They really understood what we were after, made us laugh and feel at ease and the food and venue were just amazing.

Superb meal at the Swan Lawshall for our anniversary. Great to have quality freshly cooked food, and the cooking here is at such a high standard. Fairly short but good wine list. Very comfortable and relaxing ambience, & efficient service.
We ate deconstructed beef Wellington, pork ribs, cheesecake with honeycomb & caramel sauce and chocolate fondant. All beautifully presented & utterly delicious! Thank you Laura and Lawrence!

We booked The Swan for our wedding after having several fantastic meals here over recent years. Laura and Lawrence went above and beyond setting up a kitchen in our field while managing to serve a three course dinner, including drop service and catering for the entire gamut of dietary requirements. We had compliment after compliment from our guests about how good timings were, how good the food was, how they felt their needs had been catered for and how friendly / helpful the bar staff were. When my partner asked for his favourite drink to be served (Neck Oil) they even ordered some in to the pub to try it. They could not have done more and we’re so incredibly grateful - if you’re thinking about coming here for lunch or dinner eat anything and try the blush rosé (Lawrence is a pastry chef so have a dessert as well). If you’re thinking about booking them for a wedding the late night pizzas are BANGING and they hold canapés back for the bride and groom while photos are happening. Brilliant all round 🎉
Brought my mum and family to the Swan for Mothers Day. Great experience from ease of booking with Laura and on the day, the staff were friendly, polite and attentive, great service and the restaurant had a nice calm atmosphere to enjoy our meal. The best pub around, the owners really make you feel welcome. Great for a meal with the family or with friends. Also have been to events here such as weddings and parties, they know how to make the event special.
One of the best pubs going, and I can reassure you it's worth every penny. My mum and dad regularly go there, so decided to go for my dads birthday dinner. Everyone is welcoming, funny, overall great service and AMAZING food.
And I got all of that from my first visit!!

Have used The Swan for private events, family meals and just a drink, its fantastic every time! the staff are really helpful and friendly. The garden is huge and has lots of things for children to play with. They always have a good selection of beers and the Gin selection is extensive. The pub has a really friendly atmosphere and have always been made to feel very welcome. They always have special offers and events on so check their social media for updates! if i could give The Swan more than 5 stars i would.
This country pub has incredible food and feels really welcoming. Only negative i would mention is that you do really need to book in advance before arriving, we tried to book a few days in advance and thought we'd easily get a table, not the case unfortunately. Really worth visiting even if you're not in the area.
Nice large garden with toys for kids. Inside quite modern which didn't go with exterior old cottage type building. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Was surprised that a pub so near Bury st Edmunds didn't stock Aspalls cider which is just down the road. But instead has a Cornish offering which was awful. Place to go if you have kids, but we don't. But nice to just have a country pub still in a very rural location.
Yesterday I celebrated my birthday at The Swan, 16 of us out for dinner, fabulous! Laura and her team were exceptional from the initial contact when booking to the service yesterday, I thoroughly recommend this wonderful village pub.
Family lunchtime meal at The Swan in Lawshall. Very friendly, helpful bar lady, gave us extra time to choose since we were busy talking and sorting out a young baby. Food was nicely presented and tasted delicious. Very quiet with interesting knick knacks to look at plus huge garden with seating area. Kids toys outside too. Recommend a visit.
Most impressed. Went on the pizza night and enjoyed a lovely crispy based pizza which was huge followed by a fantastic plum and caramel crumble all made in house. Definitely will go again.
Food was very good and service was exceptional! Great price and my friends over from Munich loved the atmosphere of a country pub.
Nice country pub. Good menu and good food choices. Can get crowded at popular times so need to book if you want to be certain of table.
