Popped in here for a few drinks staff we're very friendly and service was good there is a beer garden outside which is quite big prices are not to bad for a pub in town
Popped into The Grapes this lunchtime with my husband for my birthday lunch. We found the pub to be clean and tidy. Two very friendly ladies were working behind the bar, one of whom helped me to tune my phone into the Wi-Fi, while the other ( Lou ) took our order. Our food was plentiful, well presented and excellent value for money. Thumbs up all round !
Great pub , only go in once a week because I don’t live in bury , but all very nice and friendly and so are the regulars. Definitely my favourite pub in bury st Edmunds
Good pub. Good choice of beers and spirits. Visited on a Wednesday night but expected the weekends to be livelier with bands playing etc.
I love this bar.... always good live bands. Not much choice of drinks tho
Great atmosphere..karaoke night in full swing
Called in lunch time 28/02/23 two lovely ladies served and chatted, very friendly pub will certainly eat here again soon…
Prices great and good value.
Thank you ladies for a nice lunch. X
I have to say straight away the manager/ chef has to be one of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure to be around, attentive and kind.
Midday Thursday, fish chips mushy peas for two and drinks (food was delicious ) £20.
Thank you so much, you made our day.
Kind regards
Always went for the music and occasionally stopped in mid day because it was usually quiet. Long time institution of Bury and full of stories.
Just been here for a couple of beers and a spot of lunch - exactly what you'd expect, decent quality, decent prices, hard to go wrong.
What set the place aside was the service - big smiles, friendly banter, lovely atmosphere, and never left waiting. Right up there with the best chain pubs I've visited in recent memory - the staff are an absolute asset. Special mentions to Carla and Julia!
