The Athenaeum - Bury St. Edmunds - Photo album

Great events venue, beautiful big room and attentive staff, used for a graduation and the afternoon tea was fantastic. Recommended.
May 2023 Another blood donation visit. Really speedy this time. Comfortable and pleasant surroundings. Original review Visited here to donate blood. Not something that you can do every day, but only when the NHS team are there! Didn't see much of the building or facility itself.
I hosted an award ceremony there yesterday. A lovely venue with friendly staff. The food was excellent. Caitlin was absolutely superb, and so good at what she does. She was so organised, and nothing was too much trouble for her……she was a pleasure to work with.
What a venue!!!!! My wife's works xmas party was held here and it didn't disappoint such a lovely place with alot of character to it. The staff are Excellent very professional and very friendly and helpful. The Food was very nice to say the least. We Look forward to visiting this little palace again
Hard for me to rate as I was only in there for about 20 minutes, but it was a nice place to get married even with covid restrictions.
Clean. Spacious. Vegan food was cooked well but a slice of roasted aubergine and mixed green beans was on the small side. Great show and I will go again.
Tough call, but went 4 stars as we went out to enjoy ourselves and we did. A group of friends attended the 80s themed Tropicana Nights, well disco, for want of a better word. They had a simple set up, two bars, large capacity toilets and everyone who went just went to dance and enjoy themselves.
Work training conference, was a beautiful building with lovely historic decor. The team that provided lunch and drinks were amazing and so helpful for the 2 days
Beautiful building. Very elegant decor. Absolutely lovely people on hand, ready to help. I cannot fault the service we received from the registrars & assistants at my son's wedding service. Beautiful surroundings, warm, friendly staff.. much recommended
I'm not entirely sure whether it's fair to review the Athenaeum whilst it acted as host for a number of stall-holders during the town's annual Christmas market, but the building itself was a joy to take a stroll around. I can imagine it would be a perfect venue for a wedding reception or live music.
