The Abbey gardens & ruins are very nice. The ruins are nice to walk through. The history resonates through the ground. The park is tidy & well kept. Lovely walk into town

Great town. Lots of varied shops, the old favourites plus good independent stores. Super weekend market. Beautiful gardens . Lots of historic sites. The Abbey ruins and cathedral are well worth a visit. Went back on a weekday to do the tower tour of the cathedral. The tour guided were excellent.

Beautiful church, amazing history, and a must see if you are in the area. Unfortunately I didn’t get there in time to tour the gardens so be sure to plan your visit accordingly. Then grab some delicious food, coffee, or a pint at the many establishments in the area!

Magnificent building. Stunning stained glass windows. Spotlessly clean and so well maintained. Very good access if you have mobility issues. Very helpful volunteers and nice shop.

Lovely old and modern town so many places different places to eat & drink. Noticed quite a few shop have shut down pity. Most likely rent it to much just like the car parking & it is not a day parking. A day is 24 hours not till 6pm, you have to go back to the parking so you can extend your stay. Hence we never stay for the evening or dinner. Council need to learn reduced rent and parking brings in more consumer so more money. Would love to spend more time without looking at the clock.

Bury St Edmunds must be one of the most dog friendly towns in the UK. Along with some beautiful architecture, independent shops and a really welcoming population, the town has also instigated a dog friendly retail initiative. Really do check out this historical town, it has a wealth of small cafes and boutique shopping. Pluse some stunning architecture and the Abbey

Beautiful gardens and surroundings around the abbey, I was impressed with the Rose garden and the various memorials in the garden and the flowers and layout were excellent in the garden. How some of the original stone was used in the building of the houses was impressive. A rally enjoyable afternoon.

Enjoyed our visit to St Edmunds Abbey Gardens. I would love to return to see the flowers in bloom. The ruins were mysterious. I love how we were able to have such a personal encounter with history. Very quiet and peaceful place to spend the afternoon. December 2017
