We had a great time at Rustico. Popped in without a reservation on Monday night, on the off-chance that they'd have a table and thankfully they were able to accommodate us. The building itself is very charming, adding to the relaxing vibe and vibrant atmosphere. We had some lovely, efficient and friendly service and were made to feel very welcome. We shared a garlic bread pizza with cheese to start, and some absolutely delicious bresaola off the specials, served with rocket and lemon olive oil - a great combination. I had the Pappardelli Ragu and my wife the vegetable (Ortolana?) pizza, and they were both incredibly good and fresh-tasting. We can highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and will look forward to returning on our next visit! 😍
Absolutely lovely. Welcomed to a nicely dressed reserved table. Pre booking is suggested.
Host and waitress were very attentive, homely and approachable. Food was amazing, very fresh and quick to the table.
Very affordable and will definitely visit again.
Update - Still fantastic atmosphere, lovely fresh ground coffee. Amazing food and exceptional service from staff.
2023 update - Great service from Scott and Luca.
Some tasty home cooked Italian food paired well with some fantastic wine.
Food was so hot it was bubbling at the table 😂
Excellent meal and time. Acoustics aren't the best, so a loud and difficult to hear. Staff were a bit overstretched, but were very accommodating...just took a bit longer. Food was excellent and I thought very good value for the money!
Absolutely top notch, authentic Italian food. I had rich and creamy risotto, full of flavour and perfect for a chilly autumn evening. Nice, rustic deco and warm atmosphere with friendly staff. A real antidote to formula Italian chain restaurants. Will definitely go again.
Great food, service was also good, very clean. Loved the fresh pasta, carbonara was delicious!!!
Super lunch. Welcomed in and settled at a table. Sorted us out drinks and then food in pretty speedy fashion. About 15-20 mins for adult food. 10-15 for the children’s pizza which was super handy.
All food tasted really good. Pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had!
It was a bit chaotic when we wanted dessert so had to wait a little bit but the desserts were good so no complaints.
Would highly recommend!
Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The food was amazing and a good selection to choose from. Portions are generous for the money. I will definitely be going back!
Beautiful fresh food even made me a caprese salad and it was beautiful 'pasta gorgeous full of flavours and fresh 'pizza 10/10 my husband said. Sweets are great .Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
A well deserved 5 stars. Excellent antipasti, wine list and freshly made pasta...not to mention the service was superb. Reasonably priced for the portions of Lasagna and Pappardelle given and were absolutely lovely. Make sure to ask for some complimentaty Limoncello after dinner!
No reservations allowed for groups under 6, so a bit of a gamble there. We saw a few couples turn up and turned away. Good sign to be busy though!

Great local restaurant, well presented, rustic appearance and delicious food. The restaurant is divided into several seating areas, our area was busy and slightly difficult to make conversation due to the noise from a larger table of other guests. Service was a little slow after being seated, took about 30 minutes for a bottle of wine to be delivered but then our starter sharing plater soon arrived after the wine. The main pasta dishes and desserts were tasty and well presented. Prices were reasonable in the current climate and quality exceeded expectation. Otherwise a nice atmosphere, definitely recommended and will be returning as probably one of the best Italians in Suffolk.
