This place is outstanding have been going their for nearly 7 years now and have never been disappoint. You must try this place but you must book a table or you probably won't get in

Visited here a few times now and I have to say it's been really good service from start to finish every time. Lovely staff & even better food � Will definitely recommend to friends & family
9/06/18.. starters where 2 black pudding starters 1 soup of the day (cauliflower &stilton ) & 1 grilled goats cheese .. 4 starters eaten and enjoyed . Mains included 1 burger 1 lamb 1 lasagne & 1 steak .. yet again all main meals totally enjoyed .. the staff are very very friendly and it was a very enjoyable dinning experience ..apart from the food being the highlight of the evening I bumped into two lads that I hadn't seen for 30 years since leaving high school (Radcliffe high school) so it was an excellent evening out!! Thank you black bull �
Had food on fathers day really good as usual never disappoints. Between us we had the fish platter, turkey roast dinner, salmon special and ploughmans all delicious luv the fact I live five minutes away from such a great pub.
I saw an advert for this pub in one of those free magazines that come through the door. I took an old lady to celebrate her 95th birthday. There was a good choice of main meals but I would like to see more vegetarian. We settled for salmon (without the ham wrap) but was disappointed it didn't come with any vegetables. It was delicious and hot. The desert was nice, apple crumble but only 1 small scoop of ice cream. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. It was a bit pricey for a lunch for 2 people but it was her birthday so I paid. Might go again, might get a smaller portion for the old lady.

We went to the Black Bull on Saturday for a family catch up, the service was really good and the food was excellent. The wine was reasonably priced and we weren't rushed. We all had a lovely evening and will definitely be going back.
Had a lovely birthday lunch here today with friends. The food was excellent, staff cheerful and service great. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere. Food delicious and nothing was too much trouble for our waitress Megan. She was helpful and very friendly and always had a smile. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Excellent Lunch once more with great cooking and quality ingredients. Big shout out for the ever smiling Chelsea who works so hard and provides spot on service. Well kept beer and a fine and relaxing experience. Well worth more visits. Bob H.

Food is really nice but a bit pricey
The pub has real ale one of my favourites is the original Budvar on draught it also serves other equally good ales the bonus is it is just down the road from my daughters. Highly recommended worth a visit.
Had the Beef Lasagne and it was one of the best Lasagne's I've had ever had. Also the woman who served us was very friendly and lovely. Definitely go again.
