Lucky enough to be here on reopening night under new ownership. Visited with my family and we were delighted to see the steam train passing behind the field and enjoyed the beautiful cows in that field which adjoins the pub. Staff were very friendly and the food really was exceptional. My husband had the lamb Wellington and I had the fish and both were excellent. The children’s meals were a good size filling up my 9 year old boy, which is no mean feat! We will certainly return and highly recommend to families and people who like a good quality meal.

Very nice pub recently taken over by new landlord. Not doing food yet but it is planned to start in October. Comfortable indoors. Outdoor area OK. Only one hand pumped beer but hopefully that will increase as business picks up. Staff friendly and responsive.

We are staying at the campsite up the road and wanted to find somewhere for a nice Sunday roast. We were not disappointed, the roasts here are fantastic and reasonably priced! Lovely view from the garden and dog friendly.

So much better than the rather cramped and dated Brown Cow Great food, friendly staff. We were staying at Burrs Park caravan site and would definitely recommend this Pub.

Lovely meal. We only just managed to get served as they stop serving at 7 pm . We were staying at the caravan site. Meals served from 12 to 7. They had run out of pie but that was ok as the Garsdale burger was excellent and as I say it was coming up to the end of service. The young man who served us was friendly and service was quick. Would highly recommend a visit here especially if you are staying at the caravan site.

Couldn't book anywhere. Found this place after long drive. They took all 9 of us. Only one chef on but did a great job. Food was great.

It is mostly a pub for watching football each time we have been there it has been busy and noisy with supporters there is a dining room at the back but it is always busy so we have always had to eat in the bar/tv room. The food was good.
