Amazing food, staff are brilliant & very accommodating. Very dog friendly. They treated our dog & us like family. It was just lovely! The landlady Emma ( who is the best landlady ever!) & her husband James ( chef & owner - makes makes the most Delicious food..& we just love it when he does his specials) Thank you!! Just a fantastic pub, wish they were all like this one! Well done, keep up the great work 👏
This is a review of the pub restaurant, not the hotel.
The menu is a little confused. There are Japanese dishes that don't seem to fit in with the rest of the menu and some odd items.
That said, we had the pan-fried chicken and the steak pie, both served with vegetables. The portion sizes are perfect, and the food is very well prepared. The steak pie just melts in your mouth, and the vegetables were nicely done.
Service is good, not fast, but not slow.
It is a nice enough pub with friendly staff and woth a visit. Also, dog friendly.
Great pub.
The staff were really hard working, on top of their game, and super attentive without being overbearing. The food we had was great. We came here last year too around the same time, and the standard was really high then too - so it's consistent. Hats off to the management for the friendly atmosphere and customer satisfaction.
The staff comprehensively knew the menu - and everyone seemed to care about their customers and their work. There's really nothing to say but positives .
My wife and I visit the Oddfellows Arms for infrequent lunches. We might visit 2 or 3 times a year as a special treat. We have always enjoyed the food and ambience. The menu always has something a little out of the ordinary from standard pub food.
Fantastic pub and very friendly. Food is absolutely delicious, freshly made and generous portions. Lots of great gluten free and dairy free or vegan options which is so hard to find in pubs. Also dog friendly and in a lovely little village. Definitely recommend visiting and we will be returning if we are in the area again!
Stopped here for a meal while on holiday, this is an amazing place, lovely little village, food and service was fantastic, best food we had in a long time.second to none Highly recommended a visit to this pub if your in the area, well worth it 👌 👍 😀
Brilliant local pub - the food is superb. Freshly made with quality ingredients. Great beer and atmosphere- highly recommended.
A fantastic find of a pub in the wonderful village of Caldbeck. They kindly managed to squeeze us in even though we hadn’t booked and they were busy. The food was outstanding - even the children’s chicken nuggets were homemade, with really good quality chicken breast inside (not the usual reconstituted stuff). The adults had the Three Moos burger, falafel salad, fish and chips and pan fried chicken breast with mash, all of which were perfectly cooked, presented beautifully and came in very hearty portions. Highly recommend!
Amazing food, and good value for money. They went above and behind as we didn't turn up until 20:45 without a booking, very accommodating, enjoyed the setting and the atmosphere was really good to! Would highly recommend. To top it off, we came away with a new coat hanger from what I can only presume is a local very talented craftsmen.
The welcome, food and service at the Oddfellows is always top notch. Most recent visit was for a party. The team could not have done better! The curry was really fantastic, they coped with all our chaos brilliantly and made the visiting dogs welcome too.
A real gem!
