Review The Old Bush - Callow End

First time eating here recently as we've always been in just for drinks. We walked in mid-week without booking for a table of 4 and were welcomed promptly. The menu has a good selection of food and lots of choice on the specials board. We went straight to mains and the food was very good all round, the portion sizes were generous and the quality was good. My only comment would be that we did feel like we waited a while when the place was not very busy at the time, i do however appreciate that fresh home cooked food does take time and I was really happy with the food when it arrived. Nice garden and busy atmosphere. Dog Friendly and at weekends there are often lots of kids in the garden. I like this pub and will visit again.

Fabulous site, cute traditional pub and convenient cafe both serving truly delicious food and drink. Lovely outdoor area, campsite kept impeccably. Small site feels safe with Lovely views and lots of birdsong, both wild birds and those in the aviary. Fab play area for the kids too. Only downside is the showers are located at the back of the pub accessed via the beet garden which is OK if you shower early before the pub opens otherwise there are people in the beer garden when you walk through carrying your towel etc. Also the hairdryer did not work but luckily I had brought my own.

Stopped by here for an impromptu meal after a day hiking and was really very impressed. The young staff were lovely and the meals were very generous, very tasty and clearly home made. When asked for a large portion of veg that's exactly what we got which is so rare in many other places we've eaten. Will definitely come back if in the area again. Thanks for a filling lovely meal 😃

I just love this pub! We just cannot order anything else from here except from the Cajun chicken 😋 it is my most favourite meal EVER! Beautiful little pub, friendly staff, amazing food and very reasonably priced. A true hidden gem for Worcestershire! Please don't ever take Cajun chicken off the menu!

We met family for a Father's Day lunch. Our first time here. Great play area for kids, we had our 7 year old grandson with us. Lots of things to climb on, balance on and slide down, plus a large aviary with finches, budgies and pheasants- beautiful! Food was great, staff were all friendly and helpful!

Just had the best meal out that we have had in a long time. Beautiful freshly cooked food and the staff were very friendly too. Would certainly recommend!

Smashing pods at the back of a pub. Lovely beer and surroundings. Will update later about the food. Can't wait. I'm starving. FYI. There is nothing more refreshing than a bitter shandy. Pass it on. UPDATE: Forgot to post this a couple of days ago. Food was stunning. Creamy stilton and leek chicken. Really tasty. Will recommend to friends and family and may well come back soon.

Pitch or glamping pod camsite and Pub. What a surprise, really lovely small site, level pitches, great little farm shop come/delli come eatery with outdoor seating. Then there is the bus which is warm and welcoming with great pub grub ! Showers located down at the pub and toilets near the pitches are clean and well lit and oped 24/7 Cracking little site that we will return to !

This quiet & quaint country pub is nestled away off the beaten track. With typical old world aesthetics this small charmer, has all you need for a little bite to eat and drink whilst in the area. Will the barman, efficiently took our order and showed us warming and welcoming hospitality. I would recommend the gammon (see picture below) an inch thick & freshly cooked, tasting brilliant. The service was quick and the price was competitive and definitely value for money. If we are in the area again we would pop by for another visit happily; fantastic little country pub.

Great meal tonight. Haven't been in here for a long time, and wasn't disappointed. Good choice of vegetarian and meat dishes, and gluten free dishes too (gluten intolerant family and friends will be pleased). Also Stowfords on tap - can't be bad. Good atmosphere too. Will definitely eat and drink here again. Well done for bringing the place to life again!

The food was fantastic and they had a good choice of gluten free meals on the menu for my coeliac granddaughter. All the staff were friendly and service was excellent.

Turned up without booking for Sunday roast yesterday and ordered two Pork dinners which were home cooked and delicious, proper crackling as well. Great service, great staff, lovely place and great value for money. Can"t wait to go back and try the Beef.

Stayed here last night in our Motorhome. Pitches were great and had EHU which is an added bonus. Staff in pub were very friendly and helpful. Great choice of food, which was well priced and delicious. Dog friendly is always a perk for us and Marley was made welcome too. Looks like a fab outside space for the better weather, unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy it this time. Would love to come back if in the area again.

Booked last minute for a Friday night camp. Booked a meal in the restaurant, so glad we did, it was delicious. It was raffle Friday... very surreal, bit the locals made you feel so welcome.... and.... we won. Yes, we will definitely be back. Made to feel so welcome :) would highly recommend.

Myself and the members of Stow Disability Association today had a fantastic lunch at The Old Bush at Callow End near Worcester. If any one is in that area I recommend you pop in. Really good value for money, great staff, service and food.

Stayed overnight with our motor home flat pitches with electric, steep entrance with loose gravel makes it difficult. Lovely friendly pub with excellent food will be back.

We visited the Old Bush for a 2 course sunday lunch yesterday, absolute bargain at £13 for 2 courses. The roast beef dinner was delicious. All home cooked with care and attention, not frozen mass produced rubbish. All arrived piping hot and nicely presented. The puddings were also homemade and very nice. I had a lemon and lime cheesecake and my husband had a marmalade whisky and raisin bread and butter pudding. We cant wait to return.
