This pub is in a good location with a nice setting right in the gateway of the peak district. The Sunday roast and the dessert here was spot on, and the service is good and friendly. From the dining area, there is a pleasant view overlooking the surrounding scenery despite the carpark. Parking here
Nice little pub with great atmosphere. The food looked so nice when it came but unfortunately, chicken was so dry and hard to chew in the burger. Risotto was nice though.
Lovely pub with great view and setting. Food was delicious, especially the pie and the Bakewell dessert !!! Service was friendly and attentive! The young lady who served us was amazing (sorry I didn’t get her name ). It is dog friendly as well so Bruno had a good time too ☺️
Very nice, hidden pub, lovely view while eating very good food. The different pies were highly praised by all who spoke. Where we were, just felt a little "modern" probably as it looked like a recent addition to the building.
Words can not describe how amazing our visit here was. They were super accommodating and managed to squeeze us in to eat on short notice. I had the steak and ale pie and my friend had the mushroom, leek and sage pie. Honestly these were the best pies we have ever eaten in our lives. It was heaven
Wow. What a treasure at the gateway of the peak district. Stayed overnight, the room was very larve and comfortable, clean and well provided. Eat a small dish in the evening, but I wish i could have had more room. The menu read divine. Breakfast was amazing, hot, and no beans! Perfect. Lots of walki
Lovely pub the staff is super friendly and the best part for us it is dog friendly too!
Stopped here last night after visiting the Chatsworth show. Literally just down the road. We had a dog friendly room for our two little pooches. Room was excellent and spacious.we dined there last night had the famous pies which were delicious and full English this morning. All staff were very frien
Thank you so much to the lovely bar maid who kept the pub open after 10pm last Monday so that we could have a beer after our run. A great selection of beers available too! Really appreciated this lady's efforts, and I will definitely be back for more than a single beer next time!
Lovely family run pub with a warm welcome! We visited the area to spend time with our sons in Sheffield and knowing the area thought it would make a good base. Comfortable room and fabulous breakfast served by a lovely lady who couldn't do enough. Recommended! Huge car park so easily accessible.
