This has got to be the best restaurant I have visited in Cambridge! I highly recommend, the staff are super friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make your visit enjoyable. Children are welcome and they are amazing with them too, my daughter is a very fussy eater and I struggle to find places out that she will eat but at gattuso’s she’s is very comfortable and will eat a lot from the menu even their pizza and she hates pizza but she says “not this pizza mum, this is good pizza, it’s the best ever.” I was shocked as I’ve tried her with so many different pizza places, but I do have to agree the pizza here is amazing. For me my fave is their lasagna and cheesy garlic bread pizza🤤. If you haven’t visited before then this place is a must there is a large variety of food on the menu and there desserts are delicious too. You will not be disappointed with your visit here, we definitely wasn’t and it is our go to restaurant every time know.

Spectacular food with a warm welcome. Alex, our waiter, was excited to find the dishes we'd most enjoy -- happily working with a no-pork group dietary restriction that cut away a good chunk of the menu. Ultimately, he decided to create some bespoke plates that he hoped might "wow" us.
And wow us they did! We first enjoyed a red pizza with parmesan, rocket, and fresh tomatoes. The tomatoes were perfectly ripe, high quality, providing an intense burst of flavor, accompanying the nutty rocket to cut through a generous portion of creamy, salty cheeses. The cheese, however, did not overwhelm or weigh down the dish, balancing perfectly the acidic, slightly peppery tomato sauce. Gattuso's crust is among the best I've experienced -- crunchy and thin on the bottom without any sogging or sagging, and a deliciously salty outer rim that was ultra light and crisp.
Our second dish was an aubergine and tomato penne. I must confess that I don't ordinarily go for red-sauce pastas, as I find the acidic tomato a bit too one-note. However, this pasta changed my mind; tender aubergine paired perfectly with al dente penne, and both were enveloped in a flavorsome, earthy tomato sauce made creamy through just the right splash of oil and dairy. It was simple, bright, and full of that home-crafted love you rarely feel when eating out.
We cashed out at just £24 for a two-person lunch -- a steal, as far as I'm concerned.
It's the sort of place where you just know you'll be remembered and welcomed back as family. I'd come back any day for thoughtful, lovingly-made Italian meals.

I had a lovely birthday meal with my family. I was very impressed with the service from Alessandro.. Very knowledgeable about the food and highly professional. I was made to feel very special and was presented with a slice of complimentary cake! We are a family of foodies and every single dish we had was utterly delicious. We'll be making Gattuso's a regular from now on.

Very friendly staff, very tasty special menu... from which I had swordfish gnocchi for the first time and loved its taste and texture! Loads of decent pizzas to choose from as well. Not a fan of the Cannoli whatsoever I had never had this before so was mostly my error. Will definitely like to return.

My son and I popped in here by chance, after spending the day in Cambridge. The reviews were good and I have to say the food and service didn't disappoint. We both had bruschetta to start and then pizzas for our main with a side portion of chips. Everything was served quickly, but not rushed, and it was absolutely delicious. The best pizza I've had in a long time. We couldn't fault it, and if we're ever down that way again I'll be taking the whole family to experience it!

I had one of the biggest and tastiest pizzas here and it was very good value for money. The waiters and waitresses were also very polite and attentive.

Very authentic Italian place, and there's very few of them in Cambridge. The prices are moderate and proportional to the good and formal service offered by a very professional set of staff. The food is delicious. I came with a big group and they were able to accommodate all of us, and except for a couple pizzas that came slightly late, everything went very smoothly.

Really great Italian restaurant, ingredients seemed fresh and the pizza was cooked perfectly with some great dough. Staff were all very kind and genuinely looking to make you feel comfortable. On that note, you can't tip on the card machine so bring cash if you'd like to tip!

Great food and attentive staff. I would go here again. Ideal for a quick lunch hour meal.

This was possibly one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to outside of Italy. I was quite boring with my order this time but some of the food I saw on other tables looked amazing. Everything was so tasty and staff were pleasant. I went on a Saturday and it was a bit busy and chaotic as it took a while to get first drinks but it didn't spoil the visit.
