The Punter - Cambridge - Photo album

A lovely lunch with friends. Friendly & welcoming staff and a very good 'gastro pub' menu that left us all very full (3 starters and two mains between three of us). The Barn is very nicely decorated!
Loved it! Early Friday night dinner with our dog Hendrix. Warmly welcomed, fantastic attentive service and brilliant food and atmosphere. A really lovely authentic pub and highly recommend
Good pub food. Lovely staff. A bit expensive but very nice and pleasant.
I dined twice in the Punter recently. The food is very good. It tends to get very noisy in the evening if you sit inside because of the acoustics - also reserve a place as it is popular. It's not too great with kids as it gets a bit claustrophobic with a lot of interesting objects around the walls t
One of our best meals in Cambridge by far! Cute little pub and gluten free options labeled on the menu which I always appreciate. I had the lamb steak with veg and garlic potatoes and it was so delicious. Hubby had steak tagliata and it was cooked to perfection! Will definitely be back. Take note th
Service good Atmosphere fantastic But food needed a bit of a kick. Had fish and chips, pork ribs and aubergine tahini but they were all missing something. Perhaps they are trying healthy meals with less fat, sugar and salt. Pork ribs were better than the other two, fish batter wasn't crispy which wa
The owners of the pub are very friendly couple, and fantastic Customer service all the bar staff are super friendly and will cater for most of everyone’s needs. Courtyard is cosy and good to interact with other members of the pub. Food is top draw and beats a lot of pubs for taste And presentation Fo
Really great food in a lovey relaxed pub atmosphere. The service was very nice and attentive, with friendly serving staff. The food was pretty good. Steak and aubergine were fantastic, chicken was a just ok. Great for larger groups or a relaxed evening.
This pub restaurant avoided over-use of salt. So many times, you go for a meal at a pub and they demolish your taste buds with salt. The next morning, you wake up feeling as though someone had vacuumed up your mouth. Delightfully, despite having a salty main, this pub did not fall foul of this. We w
The Punter was a very friendly bar with very nice food and great service. For the food, we ordered the fried squid and the fish and chips, and especially the fish and chips was better than most restaurants in the UK, while the squid had a nice crust and sauce to dip in. We also had the Punter beer,
We stopped here for lunch while we were passing through. The best fish and chips!!
I had a great dinner evening out at the Punter during my last academic visit to Cambridge University. Loved their smoked aubergine.
really cute pub. had a lovely roasted sweet potato with avocado, feta, onions, and greens. extremely flavorful lemony dressing as the bed of the dish and it worked so well.
We went to have a lunch but we arrived late, so we only drink a local beer and enjoyed the comfy environment. We seated outside. I do recommed the pub for everybody. I would like to be back and try the dishes.
