Perfect coffee, jazz was good too! Friendly staff, food looked lovely but I had already eaten.
Just spent a year and half in Cambridge and your Café is by far the best around. Great coffee, great food and helpful, knowledgeable staff. Keep up the good work!
arty. creative. cosy.
Will surely come back for a hot drink with friends.
Enjoyed music and a beer last night.
Today someone asked me what Hot Numbers was like so I proudly replied, ‘We are a coffee house, which serves our own hand roasted, single origin coffee and beans, with an authentic jazz atmosphere, paired with a bright art gallery under an impressive Victorian brewery’. So I hope to see them soon and serve them our coffee which has gone through so many hands under so many high standards. (Mike, Barista)
What a fantastic and unique little place with a nice atmosphere. Had a delicious mushroom soup there today. Very tasty. Will definitely come back.
Your cafe is absolutely the best in Cambridge!!!
I hesitate to give a great review as I love it so much and want to keep it all for myself but that's just not fair so go and try their fantastic coffee (all their own), Fitzbillies chelsea buns (I always disliked cake, how did they transform me?) and always really excellent service.
Every cup of coffee is a piece of art.
Before Cambridge friends set me right, when thoughts of great cup lust dominated my waking day, consumed my sleeping night, frequent travel to London, in search of coffee salvation, this was my reality, became my great cup seeking location.
So here's to you, the Hot Numbers crew: you roasters, and grinders, you porta filter primers. For it's with neither hesitation, nor reservation, I give my Cambridge coffee salvation destination ***** (Not forgeting to mention: with Steak and Honor outside, one of the tastiest gourmet burgers I've ever tried)
Coffee with a personality
I just stopped by for a coffee break in the afternoon. I also tried their own bakewell tart. They were very delicious. The atmosphere was also quite nice. I will definitely come back later to try the breakfast and lunch menu.
Coffee not that amazing, even though it goes as a specialty coffee place. Best carrot cake we tried though on this trip and hot chocolates with marshmallows looked amazing. Little ones enjoyed them to the fullest:)
A great place to visit a short distance away from the tourist bustle of the city centre. Dog friendly we sat in the rear garden area which has a gazebo style roof. Lovely brunch selection - we had bacon, poached eggs, pancakes and maple syrup followed by pear and blueberry and carrot cakes. Also delicious coffee.
Friendliest cafe in Cambridge. Great ambience & music (music thankfully not loud). Excellent coffee. Wonderful service, even when flat out. Narrow design - it gets busy - with smallish terrace out back and a few street-front tables. Only does oat milk in the non-dairies, otherwise I would visit more often. If they had range of gluten-free options (lunch, not cake) would order more food when I do. But as far as staff&mgt, ambience & coffee goes, Hot Numbers hits it out of the park.
Generally a nice place to work in, especially the music is not too loud which is what matters the most too me. Seats with charging available. Coffee and food are both good, and all the staff are really nice. I worked for quite a while after finishing my drink (while waiting to order lunch), and no staff had an opinion. The only small thing that I felt a bit uncomfortable was that when a lady put down my coffee and I raised my head to say thanks, she didn't say a word and didn't even look at me while turning away to hug a friend of hers. This is not a big issue at all, but often it's details that decide the overall experience. Overall will still recommend!
Great local coffee spot. Good selection of different brew. Viennoiseries are good too. Atmosphere is nice,a mix of locals and tourists from all ages
Lovely coffee and breakfast (Turkish eggs) was divine. Excellent service and reasonable prices, too. Would definitely go back.
So coincidentally my travel mate’s friend also had suggested this cafe which in my plan to go list. Thankfully got the chance to had a yummy delicious breakfast at the cozy cafe… the q is long and yet worth waiting… thank you. ❤️☺️
Flavorful coffee and delicious breakfast/brunch options.
The place can be very crowded, and a long line can form even in the early morning. This makes me very anxious and stressed whenever I dine alone… So I don’t visit very often :) but it’s definitely worth an early morning walk across the river.
— No bibimbap today. I was so excited to try the new menu 😿 Turkish eggs are alright. Nicely poached egg. The chili is quite bland.. Flat white good as usual.
What a find! The busiest cafe in Cambridge and you can see why! The breakfast and brunch menu is lovely and the portions very generous! A cute location with a pretty covered garden and the breakfast was gorgeous! Lovely place highly recommend
