Delightful old fashioned pub. No music, just the sounds of people enjoying themselves. Every shelf is stacked with memorabilia, the walls and ceiling covered with pub related imagery. Knowledgeable and friendly bar staff serving a moderately good range of real and craft ales, but the real clincher is the impressive range of Belgian beers - so many they have a menu to help you choose. 5 stars from me.

What a nice place! Friendly atmosphere & it reminded me of some of the bars on Lower Broad in Nashville that I played back in the eighties. All they need now is a car park! (grin)

Great pub. Well kept beer, interesting real ales and Belgian list better than many "Belgian bars". Lovely atmosphere. I live 180 miles away and I keep coming back!

Always lovely beer, they turn it over well as there are lots of beers on for a small pub. Staff are hard-working, friendly and very knowledgeable about the extensive range of Belgian beers as well as the real ale. One of the best pubs in Cambridge, which has many fine drinking establishments!

My first time at The Elm Tree but certainly not the last. My friends and I walked around the center for a bit before going to The Elm Tree; it wasn’t a particularly warm evening and I was feeling rather chill. Was not in the mood for beers and really really wanted something hot to drink. So while my friends were ordering their ales, I asked a bar keeper if they could maybe make me a cup of tea — and what do you think? They kindly prepared one for me even though it was clear it’s not something they usually serve. It was genuinely nice and kind thing to do. In addition to that, I got asked if I would like to have a piece of lemon in my tea after I mentioned I didn’t usually drink my tea with milk. Never got asked something like that in all my time spent in the UK and was both happy and nostalgic since that’s how we drink tea in my home country. It was such a small thing but it meant a lot. I am looking forward to trying the impressive selection of their Belgian ales — and thank you again for your kindness, The Elm Tree!

Super-cosy and welcoming pub away from the hustle of the touristy parts of town. Excellent beers and good prices.

Quaint pub away from all the crowds. Hidden away in cute residential streets away from the bustling city centre. Has good selection of beers and even board games.

I was fascinated by this place and I love it. The treatment was amazing, the guy was super nice to us, the people it is super kind, and seems to be like a big family. They have a huge variety of Belgian-style beers starting with delirium and finishing with lambic ones, so if you love Belgian beer this is the place for you. I really recommend you some Christmas beer 🍺, they are amazing 🤩🤩. We will definitely repeat the experience 🥰🤩. They have some events in August so don't miss them!

A comfortable and friendly pub that's a bit out of the way yet well with the visit. Decent cask beer with some draft beer and cider. The selection of bottled Belgian beers is above average. I always enjoy my visits here.

Beer, and lots of it! The only downside to this pub is the staggering array of choice in bottled beers (particularly Belgian) being offered IN ADDITION TO a great array of pumped ales!! The only solution is to visit multiple times. Don't go looking for fine dining, this is a pub to celebrate the brewers art, which is does to amazing effect. A must visit on a trip to Cambridge.

Possibly my favourite pub in all of Cambridge, an actual pub with locals and an amazing community feel run by people who love beer which is clear from the amazing selection on offer. If you enjoy discovering beer this is a great option.
