This restaurant serves authentic Japanese.
I loved the menu, very rich and varied.
I feel the ambience lacked a little bit of grandeur.
Loved the location, right at the edge of Cambridge.
I would keep coming here, but expect to have more grandeur in the surrounding.
The taste and service is top notch!

If you’re craving bbq this is the place to go! Excellent place to hangout with friends, clean interior and quick service. The meat is fresh and good quality, my favourite is the harami skirt steak and umakari ribeye. Skip the A5 wagyu, it’s not well marbled enough and lacks that ‘earthy’ flavor that makes it special. Cold tofu and house salad good appetizer. Poke nachos tad too much soy sauce and overpowers the taste of tuna.

I loved my visit at Guy Kaku. Food was good! We had many meats, shrimps, rice and some starters. Almost everything was really good, I just didn't like the chicken and shrimps. I also tried a sweet sake that taste almost like lychee melted ice cream. The price is not cheap but neither expensive. We ate a lot with one sake and our bill was 75. The place was very clear and I would go back for a date or going out with friends.

Eating here is always super fun. Cooking the meat in front of you is a fun experience, plus they offer 3 different dipping sauces to try: sweet, spicy, and ponzu (which is lightly sour and my personal favorite). Their cocktails are also good. I’d recommend the frozen sangria. It’s fruity flavors pair well with the red wine and is a good contrast to the hot food. I usually get the meat lovers set and split it with someone — the amount is usually perfect and it provides a variety of foods to eat over the course of the meal. This is definitely a fun place to come as a couple or with a group. Just remember to make a reservation ahead of time, as it can get really booked!

We as meat-lovers really enjoyed the all you can eat menu at this place. We got a table here without a reservation on a Sunday evening where the other two Gyu locations were all booked full. I wish the 90min time limit can be extended a bit as we are slow eaters.

We had the basic AYCE option so almost all meat are marinated which were bit too sweet & flavory for me. The best one I would say was the Angus beef ribs cubes which is less sauce so you could taste the original meat.

Great food and staffs. Portion is slightly less per order for BBQ meat or garlic noodles. Definitely try garlic noodles. 10% more portion and this restaurant is one of the best Japanese bbq out there.
