Extraordinary. One of the best udon I have ever had. The soup is good, the beef is good, and the noodles are something else. The place is very small and quite hidden. There was a long queue (around 7 PM) that moved rather slowly. So, we opted for take away and got our order in a couple of minutes. If you like udon, you need to try it. I strongly recommend it.

Refreshing and simple cold udon. The noodles were bouncy and filling. Generous portion of beef and the toppings added extra crunch. Next time I’d add more toppings to try new things but you can’t go wrong with the basics. Expect to wait for a seat.

Not just the best in Boston - one of the best Udon places in the country. Their spicy cold Udon is my comfort dish, and the first thing I eat whenever I visit Cambridge. The chefs are inspired, creative, and dedicated to a mission above and beyond just bowls of noodles. Don't be afraid to strike up a conversation with them to learn what brought them to Yume. This place can't be missed!

Great place for udon. The place is initially kind of hard to find. It's in this mini shopping mall food court. There's limited seating space and can be elbow to elbow. But the food is definitely worth it. I had the spicy cold uson from Yume wo Arukawa. This is a really refreshing dish. After finishing the whole meal, I didn't feel that bloated but a nice full feeling without feeling heavy. Pretty interesting feeling. The noodles are nice and firm. Not too thick or chewy. Beautifully cooked. Surprisingly nice in a child uson dish. The ribeye niku is really good. Nice bits of fat. Great flavor. Beautifully cooked. Nice thin slices. The broth was really good. Since it's a cold dish it was a light broth. Kind of reminds me a soba dipping sauce. Apparently it's very similar to tare before it's added to make various kinds of ramen broths. Very good flavor. The spice seems to be Japanese chili sauce of since kind. Really good. Not really spicy. On a scale American spicy tolerance, I'd say a 3 or 4. Not spicy more like it accentuates the flavor of the broth. They also give you a bit of tempura flakes that adds a nice crunch texture to the dish. Overall, really good cold udon.  Highly recommended. I'd give this dish a 9/10. Would definitely come here again.

Wow. Best udon I've had in my life. The balance of flavor is amazing and I could eat multiple bowls with no problem. We ordered the spicy cold and spicy hot version and both are fantastic. The cold version was able to cut down on the spicy oil meanwhile the meat had a slight sweetness that allows you to savor each bite. I am not generally good with heat, but there is just enough to warm up the soul. The cold version does a better job holding the crunchy texture of the fried agedama as it doesn't get soaked by any broth. These add a texture profile that I really enjoyed. The hot version had such a great both that was deep but not oily. The udon noodles were a perfect vehicle to draw up the broth while eating. Again the meat had a sweetness to them that allows the eater to want the next bite and the next. If you eat all the noodles and broth, the crew will yell "perfect". Freaking epic

Both cold and hot udon were delicious in their own way. The cold bowl is refreshing in the summer with its shoyu-based sauce especially with the lemon it comes with, and the hot bowl has a thicker broth that isn't overpowering but goes well with the meat and noodles. The noodles themselves have a different texture between the cold and the hot bowls so be sure to try them both! I highly recommend adding the onsen tamago🥚if you like runny slow-cooked egg. It's super soft and just perfect! Don't forget to order first before getting in line. It's a small shop and the line is there for the dine-in at the tables in the order you placed. You can also order take-out from this place. I would also recommend coming earlier for lunch/ dinner times as they can absolutely run out during the more popular/ busy days.

The fact that the udon is literally made in front of you, is just perfect. Any opinions here are delicious. I'd recommend double noodles when getting a bowl. On a hot day, go with a Spicy Cold Udon.
