Udon came out quicker this time. The curry udon is better than the laksa (which was not spiced or spicy enough) though still on the sweeter side.. well this is a Japanese brand. Beef is a bit crumbly so I had to fish them out of the curry soup. Overall quite decent.
Fried chicken breast is recommended by my friend. The coating is crispy and not greasy, and the meat isn’t too tough. There is some skill in it I guess. It does taste better than it appears.
The salad has a refreshing dressing. The egg is not thoroughly seasoned but goes well with the broth/curry.

The noodle is thinner and more resilient than traditional udon, but somehow I like it.
A little pricy especially for the more common udon selections but it’s in Cambridge and thousands of miles away from Japan.
Can be really crowded at peak hours and might not always be a fast food option.
Lovely food, reasonably priced. Sometimes when it gets very busy, the service counter and the finished tray counter can clash with lots of people.
Other than that, the noodle bowls are delicious, my favourite is the Katsu chicken bowl 🍲
Really cool place, lots of options from hot food, to cold food, to fried items. Many different choices! I had the Salmon Teriyaki (cold). On a Saturday around 13:00 the store was busy but there was no queue to pay and I was just about able to find a table to eat in. Food was great and I'll definitely be back. Toilets could have done with a clean (water on the floor and toilet seat coming off) but I liked the sliding door for the toilet. Toilets are not gendered 😊
Quality is quite good considering how fast they being served. Seat has USB outlets which saves phone battery. For me it’s a fast Japanese food restaurant, you need to order and carry your food to table. I consider it 4 star for just restaurant. For the speed service and USB I add one star.
I had my lunch here today and my food was very good. I really liked the Panko Fried Chicken Salad as the chicken was very crunchy and delicious and the rice was very good.
Good selection of delicious and authentic Japanese staples. The gyudon and pork tonkatsu soup udon were delicious, as were the tako balls and prawn tempura. Comfortable and clean with great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Amazing Japanese Udon restaurant! I had the fried chicken yaki udon and it was very delicious. I also loved the atmosphere and interior design that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I don’t know about weekends, but on Monday at noon the place wasn’t crowded. In conclusion, it’s totally worth visiting if you love Japanese cuisine or if you want to try some.
Fresh made Udon Japanese Restaurant. A lot of variety, soup noodles, bento, curry or sushi.
Only one thing is not good enough is no air conditioning when you eat hot soup noodles, I am sweating in such deluxe restaurant.
Had a very tasty Pumpkin Katsu Curry here today for lunch and spotted several other really tasty looking options to try out next time. Super-fast preparation -- there wasn't anyone ahead of me and by the time I paid, my order was already ready.
They also have a dedicated vegan section of the menu, so it's really easy to see what's vegan and what isn't.
A great Japanese restaurant at the heart of Cambridge. You can order from a touch screen or collect items from a buffet like counter. They have crispy gyoza 🥟, delicious noodles 🍜, warm spicy 🌶️ soups, mouth watering takoyaki, and more.

This is the second time in two weeks that I give an eatery a 5 star review and here’s why.
Firstly the restaurant is warm and inviting and that comes from its aesthetics. It’s not just a space that sells Japanese cuisine. The wooden furniture, the counter tops, the floor, the lighting, it all looks genuine Japanese and then of course there’s the cleanliness which is top notch.
Then there’s the food and boy oh boy is it good! The noodles tasted better than any noodles I’ve had before and the chicken curry was incredible.
It’s fair to say that all three tribe members who visited with me were unable to finish their portions because of the abundance.
Loved the place, the food and the experience. Highly recommended!
Wanted to try for a while so popped in for lunch. Prices are good, food was very tasty, service was very quick.
While allergen information is clear, you have to ask someone for it and that isn’t easy when it’s busy - it’s on their website though. Place is also quite crowded and the temperature inside was far too hot! Toilet was also out of order.
Paid £24 for a coke, one udon dish and one rice dish.
Delicious chicken katsu curry rice… big portions and easy to order from self service. The place was busy with people just sitting around after they had their meal…. There were people like me needing to sit
