Review Curry And Rice - Camelford

First off, the restaurant itself could do with some work but they've not been there too long. The food itself is LEGIT, spent time in Nepal and it brought back some real memories of the wonderful food there. Try the Nepalese specials, the momos are fabulous and also gad two mains from the specials and they were both incredible. Will definitely be back

I loved the food a lot. It was after a long time I found Indian food I really enjoyed, and every dish we had was amazing. The naans and parathas were really fresh and everything was flavourful.

We discovered this little gem whilst on holiday. We loved the food here so much we had 2 meals in 3 days and wanted to freeze one to take home. Mr Bari is an authentic chef, and his food is exceptional. Can't recommend highly enough

Great food. The unimaginative name worried me until I had a takeaway here and it was delicious. Going inside, seeing the decor and speaking to Mr Bari reminded me of being round the houses of my Indian mates as a kid. The food is lovely and is not like your mainstream Indian Restaurant

Superb food, highly recommended. Four of us visited and we all thought the food was great. there is no menu as such you just tell him what you want and he will cook it for you, and to the desired strength, he even invited me into the kitchen (which was nice and clean) to see if it was hot enough for my palette. We paid £10 each for the curry and rice, which was I think a good price given the quality, quantity and being freshly made, which is why some have commented on the long wait for the food, I`d rather wait a bit to have it done properly. You have to also accept that Mr Bari does everything himself, no waiters or other help in the kitchen. If you can get your head around the fact that it seems basic besides other restaurants, you are in for a real treat. I will definitely return if I am anywhere near here again, and will also take some meals away for later.

An experience like no other. Looks very unpromising, lay your own table and help yourself to drinks from the fridge. The wonderful Mr Bari, proprietor and chef will take your order and cook to whatever stength you want. The food is outstanding. Can't recommend enough for a fun and quirky night out. Don't go off you are on a rush or want a posh grunt of house.. That is not what it is about.

Authentic, delicious Indian food, served with a smile. If you want an upmarket British take on Indian cuisine don’t go here. If you’re happy with no frills, beautifully home cooked food then give it a try. We have never been disappointed!!

Incredible & unique place. Food is great, prices are reasonable, service is friendly and relaxed, atmosphere inside is fantastic. It's a super relaxed dining experience: menu on the wall changes daily and chef seems open to meal modification, drinks and dinnerware are self service, the fireplace in the main eating area gives a really nice feel to the place. We had a really pleasant experience.

A refreshingly unconventional, memorable experience. Delicious food, cooked to order by a wonderfully open-hearted, genuine, humorous and highly talented proprietor-chef in unpretentious, homely surroundings. Excellent value for money. So glad we went. Eat in or takeaway. Licensed. Parking a short walk away on municipal car park.

An eat-in experience not to be missed - if you are prepared to go along with the one-man-band concept. Mr Bari is an entertaining host (when he is not busy with take-away orders).

Best in the south west. We go once a month and love it, you too Mr Barri. Love from the 2ish club @ Bowood GC.

Doesn't appear to be open anymore but was some peak curry. Nice to have some warm curry and rice after wandering the moors

This is an experience in itself , the owner and chef is a joy to be with and the food is great although you don't see that from the outside I would advise you to go in you won't be disappointed.
