Lovely dining area, staff are very welcoming and the food is fantastic for a beefeater. Plenty to eat cooked well and desserts were super, service was lovely. I am definitely going to return.

We booked up for a party of 20 which grew to a party of 44, all having meals and starters a d puddings.
They fit us all in with no trouble at all.
The meals came out with alarming speed for such a large group.
The chefs worked some serious magic. All meals were hot and cooked to all preferences.
I've paid more for premium service from certain restaurants and not got this level of service and food quality.
The staff were excellent and looked after our party with ease and happiness.

The friendliness and professional nature of the waitresses was what impressed me with this place today. True, the food was lovely, cooked well and presented to a high standard, the choices on the menu were good and catered to a wide range of meat eating, veggie and vegan tastes, and the price was reasonable. These things should come as standard with restaurant. Overall though I would come again due to the staff there. Thank you for making our family celebration go well!

Very nice, friendly place and the staff are very nice. We went for a birthday party and we had Charlotte Jones serve us and she was a very kind, sociable lady who helped us with anything. The food was amazing and we didn't have to wait long for it either! The atmosphere in there gives a very warm and cosy feel and you never feel like your alone either.

Visit here 2018 and become regularly since . Like it here, Staffs are very polite, friendly and helpful. Foods are delicious, 100% recommended. I usually take lots of photos, unfortunately can't find best one to put on , as I had too many 🤪 , but yes , foods are good here 😋 👍

This is possibly one of the best beefeater we have been to.
It was spacious and plenty of room between each table instead of being crammed together.
The food was absolutely piping hot and stayed hot through the meal, we've been to some and the food comes out lukewarm and goes cold really quick. Our server was fantastic.

Yesterday we went for a breakfast and even that the restaurant was full the food was cooked to perfection and served quick! The female chef in the kitchen is experienced, so organised and very friendly, she had all under control - an absolute credit to this place! Food came out hot, well presented, stunning poached egg! Definitely will be coming back, highly recommended - 100% best breakfast in Cannock.

I feel a bit bad only awarding a 3 star rating but this is not given to the food. We have eaten here many times and on the whole the food is good, no, very good!!(Most of the time) It’s the staff that let the place down. The service is very slow and the staff are shall we say lacking in the niceties that you expect when in this kind of establishment (and a smile every now and again wouldn’t kill them). This doesn’t apply to all of the staff, some are quite pleasant and have good customer service skills. On the whole though the service is slow and if you have ordered your steak rare, after it has sat under the heat lamps waiting for it to be brought to your table it is more often than not, well done by the time you get to eat it.

Excellent meal , very friendly staff in particular our waiter Adam was brilliant and very helpful ,nothing was too much trouble for him . We did have to wait a little while but this was clearly explained to us as we sat down , this was due to training new chefs . We will definitely go again and would highly recommend this place

Not as good as it used to be. Had the lamb which was ok but size of meal wasn't satisfying. Also had liquor coffee, couldn't taste or smell any alcohol and tasted like cream had gone off. Was my birthday but spoilt the occasion.

Never had an issue before , service is good , food is good but the Male waiter we had last night was terrible. Kept disappearing had to ask other members of staff who were serving other sections for drinks ...we saw our food sitting under the lights waiting to be served and another waiter had to do it ... last night was just dire ... not a very pleasant evening

Erm I hated it doesnt even come close!
I've used this beefeater before and it's been great and recommended it to a lot of people! This won't be happening again! Avoid avoid avoid! Staff walking past us as we was waiting to be seated! Then finally got seen to be told us it was a 15 minute wait for food! We finally sat down to see that there was literally 20 tables available and staff was just wondering round doing nothing!
I then ordered the Sunday lunch I went there for for the waitress to come back to say we no longer serving those now! (But gave me the menu anyway)
Told manager we was going to leave he said ok! Then he said will do the lunch but can't do roasters!
He then lied to to my face saying that everyone left that's why the tables were empty when we was seated! But I was actually standing by the door and no one left!
It was a joke from the time we got in there! Unfortunately didn't make it to the end!
Just avoid asking that clown of a manager is running it that's all I can say! What chance have the staff got when your managed by a idiot like that!

We were a table of 6. The restaurant was busy but we weren't waiting too long. The staff were attentive and the food, though the menu was pretty standard, was very good. Would recommend.

My wife and l went here just after lunch time, we go to local pub restaurants every mid week.
Brilliant service, very quick to attend to us and starter and main served very quick and food hot and extremely tasty.
Best fillet steak we have had, we could not find one thing to be critical of.
Lovely waitress first class all round.

Arrived Friday afternoon ..... felt like the pub was understaffed at all times we were in their had to wait a while for drinks seemed to be only one member of staff on the bar and the same with the restraunt limited staff ordered steak with unlimited chips but again due to lack of staff unable to get more chips 🍟 staff over worked running around whilst manger just sat there .... breakfast was just as bad limited to one member of staff and a chef who looked like he would like to be somewhere else bacon tasted horrid couldn't eat it next time we are in the area we will be checking at the other hotels

Good overall. We dined on the set menu which is served until 6. For starters the Nacho's were by far the best as you got a plate full of nacho's and 4 large dips in tubs, there was more than enough to share between 2 or possibly 3 people!!. Moving on to the main courses there is a good choice of dishes including vegetarian options. If you are having fish however it is probably better to opt for the cheaper one as with the 'supreme' the fish is of the same size and comes on a paper sheet which stuck to the chips making it impossible not to eat. As for dessert there is a good choice and portion sizes are ok. The service was satisfactory however we did not get asked if everything was ok with our dinners and the waiter was nowhere to be seen meaning we could not ask for more 'Unlimited' chips. Overall a good quality restaurant.

BOXING DAY DISASTER.. Si x of my family including two children booked for a boxing day special meal at Longford House. What a disaster and bitter dissapointment, We were placed in a room with no other clients hence the lack of Atmosphere,The service was appalling with a delay of 30 mins.before any contact was made with the Longford staff for our choice of menu.The choice of main meals consisted of Turkey with trimmings and rump steak. My wifes turkey meal was cold with the presentation on the plate as if the whole dish had been warmed up.The Steak meals were no better with the meat being extremely tough. Too much time went by between courses and we had to enquire to the Waitress after several mins.The trifle chosen by several of our group looked very appertising on the menu but dissapointed everyone with the contents of the dish.The problems we encounted placed a big question mark on the price charged and we all agreed that no way will we be booking with Longford House again.
