Owner was friendly and enthusiastic. The pan au Chocolat was freshly made with a flaky, buttery crust. Sandwiches were outstanding. Crisp but not hard baguette with generous filling. Good food, made to one's specific requirements, warm and convivial atmosphere: a small gem of Canterbury! It was the first coffee shop which drew me in, over 7 years ago when moving to the area (I 'm French and so is the owner). I love The Sandwich Bar!

I was visiting my solicitors when I spotted this place directly opposite, I tried their chicken mayo and salad baguette and it was one of the most delicious baguettes I’ve ever tasted. Very friendly owners too, highly recommend!
