Pretty good pub centrally located. Nice selection of beers and ciders. Food was good but a little on the more expensive side. Pub garden is lovely and they were showing the football which is great. Unfortunately no baby changing facilities which makes it tough as a small family. We probably would re
After a hard day's work, it's great on the odd occasion to unwind and watch football with friends in pleasant surroundings. This is one of those places. Nice bar, great staff. Great selection of wines, spirits, and beers. Good food, too.
My first visit in over a year and what a night. The pub was very busy but the reserved table was ready for us and we didn't have to wait long for the food. Traditional pub food reasonably priced and very nice. The staff were all very friendly, the ale in excellent condition and a good band made for
Friendly atmosphere. Had a lovely cottage pie and chicken sandwich. Food quality and presentation was excellent. Very accommodating and friendly manager who put on state of origin game for home sick Aussies. Fantastic beer garden which also has screens for viewing. Would highly recommend this pub fo
Canterbury is the kind of place that’s primed for a pub crawl. And yet, locals and visitors alike tend to find a favourite and stick to it – like the Bishops Finger. The Bishops Finger is head and shoulders above the competition, one of the area’s most in-favour drinking holes thanks to a huge range
Nice atmosphere, good beer and tasty food! If you are big eater the portions may be a bit small. Luckily for me they couldn't make a kids portion of fish and chips, so I had my daughter's leftovers 😅
Apart from one incident where one of the barmaids was swearing profusely because age had broken the ice machine, we spent most of our 5 night break here when we wanted a drink. Good value compared to the other pubs.
Came across this place as the Sat Nav took us to the Station Road West car park and this is the first place we passed. Greeted by friendly staff & given the option to eat in the rear garden. (Nicely shaded with Skysports on tv). Ordered our drinks then staff took our order. As shown in pics, we orde
Lovely pub in a good location. Good spread of local beers with a large beer garden.
Great English pub with friendly staff, nice food and live music nights. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. Highly recommended.
Friendly service and great food at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Cottage Pie,really delicious
A friendly pub, which is great for watching sports, from all areas and angles. The food is ok, with typical pub options, but probably not enough healthier choices.
Great atmosphere for the rugby, friendly staff
Nice pub. Group of 5 had lunch and it was good.
Really enjoyed it in here on Friday and Saturday. Food was tasty and well priced. The Guinness was good and has a banging selection of snacks. Loads of screen for the football and boxing. And the manager was really sound, seemed like he really cared, very friendly! Gets busy, and can see why.
