Had it with pleased experience. It was a sunny day near the noon, and I was the only customer at that time. The staff did the fish and chips on the spot which surprised me, but with satisfying service. I would describe it is a pleasant experience, oh I said it at the beginning.
The fish is just like what it has to be, and when you have it, you know it’s what fresh like. I would say it’ll be good if I can have it at the beach side, it’s a little shame that it runs in the city(not anyone’s fault, to be fair).
I ordered large cod and it came very large. Chicken strips also taste good but I would strongly recommend the calamari. It was the best calamari I've ever had. Delicious food with good prices! (Btw, no dips given with any dishes so you have to extra pay for it)
Probably the best fish and chips in Canterbury! Always cooked fresh and really nice batter on the fish. Good portions too and a pretty extensive menu.

First time visit for lunch today. Got 'small' chips and scampi, plus 2 drinks. Both chips and scampi were yummy 👌👍😋 !!!

Always Fresh to order Fish and the chips too, absolutely delicious! High quality, large portions and very nice staff and owner too. Been going here for a few years now, and especially the last few weeks. Always a pleasure, I especially love that I can ask for everything to be "Extra Crispy" so they cook it a little longer, amazing please, fully recommend 10/10
Incredibly high-quality food. I've always felt satisfied after eating from Marino's. The only sad part is when the food is gone and I can't continue to enjoy it. Can't go wrong with any of the fish, and a large chips is a great way to get your order to last a couple of meals. I also have a major soft spot for the battered halloumi.
Top-notch kindness in the service, too. One time, I ordered from the wrong Marino's (there is more than one in Canterbury, and the other one would have been a slog to get to walking). Even though this was my own mistake and I would have been happy to pay again, they did my order at no extra charge. I don't quite know how to repay that kindness, but am eternally grateful.
The haddock and chips was lovely and the lady that severd us was very polite and cheerful 😊
