A big THANK YOU to the staff at Marino's fish bar in Wincheap for supplying 39 Fish and Chip meals for the Hilltop Community Associations annual fish and chip supper and quiz night. The fish and chips were delicious, all boxed and ready on time. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back next year ��
Matt B's parents live nearby and on our most recent trip, we dropped into the Marino Fish Bar for Friday dinner. I got small fish and chips, with added salt and vinegar. The small was actually enormous. They also have battered sausages, sausages, fish cakes. We were in and out with a pretty large order for 6 people in about 10 minutes.
Their fish tastes really fresh, as do the chips, not soggy at all. I'd definitely check this place out next time you're in Canterbury.
New in Canterbury, found this fish and chip shop on Google Maps. Tried ordering on their website but order timed out, had to order and wait while in shop. This said , pretty quick service. My standard cod was a bit small but my wife's large scampi was huge. Ordered a small and large chips which were far to much for us. Food was really good and still hot after a 10 min drive. Tartare sauce was really good. Recommended. Only downside is the limited parking outside on a busy road. Recommended.
Food was freshly cooked, very generous portions. Lovely staff who were friendly and efficient despite the heat from the weather and all the fryers! Food was still piping hot by time we got home, didn't need to go into the oven before eating unlike some other places we've been to.
I have literally just been to this chippy and to have to say the ladies that are serving the customers is awesome but the food is just as awesome I was in and out within 5 mins
Ordered for the first time last night and had the order delivered. The batter on all the fish was lovely and crisp as well as very tasty fish. The pita wrap did not disappoint and the chips were perfect. The kids fish n chips were just right in portion size. First lot of fish n chips since March 2020 and we all thoroughly enjoyed them
Well thank you for your service. We stopped hungry one evening and although the prices were a little higher than expected (really not much), when I read your policy on ethical fishing and the sourcing of your fish, I was pleased and felt it was worth every penny. We have now eaten your food several times and it has been consistently good. I recommend the plaice, but our vegan child says your pea fritters are top notch and despite being only 8, he stuffed 3 of them into himself before declaring he could eat no more.
New fave in Canterbury, sorry northgate you have been dethroned! Have used numerous times in the past month or two, *edit*"way over a year now" and everytime it's been top notch, not the cheapest, but hey I'm not complaining 😉😁 thanks staff, very enjoyable 🙏

Great place, great food (still working out way through the menu) cooked and served by friendly staff in a proper chip shop atmosphere. This is our new favourite local chip shop!
I treated my brother and his wife to fish and chips and they recommended this chip shop. The staff were good and helpful there was a wait of 15-20 minutes but they were busy. The main thing was that the fish and chips were great. Tip put a phone order in.
Stopped by here for a quick lunch. Delicious chips and excellent service but a little more on the expensive side.
I had a delivery from here tonight and ordered from the vegan menu, absolutely delicious! Great portion size as well 😀
