We had a lovely lunch on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The lasagne was lush and my other half burger was delicious. Being a type one diabetic I referred to the nutrition info for the carb amounts of this meal. 170g of carb. I would say the carb amount is much lower than 170g as my sugar levels didn't responded to the amount of insulin I gave (too much). We would defo visit again, but I would estimate the carbs amount next time.

So nice to be back at the old gate Inn, Canterbury for a friends reunion. Always get a warm welcome and we always get our favourite spot "scallywag corner" where I'm sure the staff must wonder if we are ever going but they are always so kind and we never feel pressured in any way. Can't praise them enough. The lobster fish cakes were fabulous Chef.

I've had better. Nice garden for dining but sadly the food doesn't match the ambience.
Also certain condiments were not available...(can't have fish and chips without vinegar)....theres a supermarket down the road so no excuse...dessert menu was not complete! Menus are printed daily so please don't put something on the menu if it hasn't been made!!

Extremely friendly and considerate staff, and nice food. We went here a year ago and it was just so so, it was nice to go back and see that they’re really making an effort with the food and service. All three meals were nice and the portions were generous. The Caesar salad was excellent with plenty of bacon, chicken, and anchovies. Will be going back

Amazing dinner for lockdown! Really great service - called up and ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 pints of Whitstable bay blonde (proper pints!) and it was a very speedy delivery. The sausage and mash was delicious and the burger was fantastic. Really lovely to have pub food on a Friday night at home! 100% recommend the Gate Inn!

Awesome pub with fantastic food and service! This was our second visit and was just as good as the first. The food was cooked and presented perfectly, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. You MUST try this lovely place :)

Had a drink and meal with some work colleagues. Had a great time, staff were kind and curtious. All the food was good and well cooked, no complaints.
