We were unsure about going in as no prices on the window to check. But we stepped in to read the menu and a young couple in there already encouraged us to stay. We had a sharing meal made up of a few dishes to try this very authentic cuisine. Vegetarian and meat dishes all delicious. It's a very small business but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. And still felt full hours later when it got supper time. Definitely recommend it.

Last night, I tried this restaurant. It was my first time eating this cuisine. The restaurant is small and welcoming as if you were eating in someone’s home. As I was unsure of what to eat, me and my table were helped by a lovely lady who also cooked for us. When the food came, it was fresh, hot and simply delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try different dishes. This restaurant is what Canterbury has been waiting for. Give it a try; you won’t be disappointed.

Fabulous fresh and delicious food - the shiro was as good as I’ve had, lovely injera with a perfect sour tang, and the coffee with full ceremony is a joy. Best new place in Canterbury.

This was delicious. I thought I wasn't keen on lamb but thanks to this restaurant it's now a favourite! Generous portion sizes too. We'll return soon.

Such a wonderful, welcoming place. Great atmosphere, delicious food, really lovely to meet the owner, so generous with her time to explain the dishes. A must try, we’ll be back very soon.

Wonderful authentic food, traditional dining, good attentive but not invasive service, friendly. It's a shame there weren't more diners - more people should know about this place.

Great food, great flavours, great staff. The meat has a bit more texture than western pallettes are used to but that does notake it any less tasty and the sour pancake it's served on is wonderful. Come here if you fancy something a bit different and tasty

Absolutely spot on. We didn't know what to expect as we had never tried Ethiopian cuisine.... Safe to say the Food is amazing, we had three dishes we shared, eating with our bread and hands (cutlery is available) . The coffee, is an experience... freshly roasted with ginger, it's better than any espresso I've had before, ever. Great experience, will definitely be back I'm glad we came here early as there is no doubt this is going to get really busy as soon as people find out. Superb, hidden gem, independent, family run , unique for Canterbury 👍👍👍

Delicious food, wonderful people. The food we chose came on a sharing platter and we had one with just the veggie options for the vegans which made everything very easy. It's great to see something different in Canterbury, I wish them every success.
