Had a lovely lunch there today,homemade chicken curry followed by the amazing rosewater and fresh strawberry pavlova,which i must say was the best dessert i have ever eaten.staff are very friendly and the service is brilliant.cant wait for my next visit,thankyou xx
Super friendly staff, great food and the best homemade cheesecake I've tasted for a long time. The view is a bonus too. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
This is a lovely cafe in an excellent location. An ideal place to come before or after a walk along the seawall.
The menu is surprisingly varied and enticing for a cafe. It's not just your usual breakfast choices. They have a lunch menu, Sunday roasts, and it seemed that there were specials on offer, too!
We enjoyed a table for two overlooking the Thames and didn't have to wait long at all for service and food to arrive! Our waiter was great, and the food was excellent. We were lucky to be there on such a sunny morning, enjoying the views and warming sunshine.
Highly recommend, and I look forward to our next walk and cafe visit!
After growing up on canvey Island and hearing so much about this place I decided to give it a try. Just had a coffee and a chocolate brownie which was fine.

Beautiful place with excellent service, was welcomed with a friendly smile and atmosphere is cosy and classy with an amazing view all round.
Food was delicious and great portion sizes as were the cocktails and will definitely visit again 😊
Stopped by for an impromptu lunch with a friend. Staff were nice and friendly. Got seated really quickly and they took our orders. Food was nicely prepared and came really quickly. I had the lasagne, Chips and Salad and it was lovely. Would definitely recommend a visit to the Labworth if you are on the Island. Their Christmas menu looked very interesting.
Beautiful building, listed and really cool, staff are nice, not expensive and if the day is nice you should sit outside. We'll worth a visit

Outstanding café. Brilliant breakfast menu, with something for everyone and every size of appetite. Everything was cooked brilliantly and the ingredients were fantastic.
We were there in the morning, but the lunch specials board looked great and everything is home made and loads of choice too.

Lovely place for Lunch, my only complaint would be the refusal to purchasing a child’s meal for myself and our one year old daughter as a sharing plate (I was not that hungry and she certainly could not have eaten a whole child’s meal!!). Aside from that, totally recommend!
Seats about 40 we were there at lunch time so had to wait 20 mins. Great service friendly staff and great portion size. All seats have a sea view. Would definitely return soon.
