Grew up just down the road from this place and always visited for lunch or dinner for any special occasion or just for a weekend lunch. Now I've moved away it's always the first place I choose to go whenever I visit Fort William again. Best place to eat in Fort William without a doubt.
We went for a family meal for my birthday & the wonderful staff made it a night to remember. The service was outstanding & nothing was too much trouble for them. Oh, the meal was great too! Well worth 10 stars, thank you xxx

Had the sirloin steak twice and both times was cooked to perfection. I dont have a negative word about the place. Lovely wee place, staff very friendly, food fantastic, very fairly priced for the standard of service and quality of food

Visited the lochy last year while staying in caol with a relative great food and friendly staff and locals .lives in Basingstoke Hampshire
I think the locky is friendly and warm food is gorgeous been to the locky about 4/5 times now will definitely be back xx

Stopped by after a long drive and was greeted by lovely staff. Very nice pub grub available and I chose beer battered haddock, chips, peas and tartar sauce. Perfect fish supper and the Mongolian beef with rice was perfectly cooked also.
I liked the noisy and cheerful atmosphere at Lochy. Sometimes it was hard to communicate because of the noise. It was full when I went there, but they found a place for me.
I got my food really quickly. It was simple but good.
A fine local pub a short walk from Neptune’s Staircase. The service and the food was very good. Carrot and coriander soup followed by a jacket potato made for a satisfying late afternoon lunch.
Stopped in after watching the train at the Glen Finnan Viaduct. Had a great lunch. I had fish and chips and my husband had a jacket (baked) potato covered with haggis, grilled onions and cheese. He has not stop talking about it and it's been a year and a half!
I Stayed in Fort William with my dad and bro this year 3rd untill 6th September we ate in The Lochy and drank in there a few times what a great local pub with great staff and a great atmosphere we will definitely be back! Thankyou
We chose to eat here because they are dog friendly. The carpark is decent size and the mountains all around make a nice atmosphere to enjoy lunch on a sunny day.
The ladies in the bar were lovely. Helen was so nice to us and recommend the specials menu and really lovely to our dog.
The food was so good I was half into rating it before I decided I had to take a picture.

Was told about this place there mac n cheese is brilliant but when I seen menu I seen Mongolian beef which I adore and have had on many occasions.i am glad I changed my mind and got this it was the best Mongolian beef I have ever had highly recommended a must If you are in the area you won't be disappointed so now I have to go back tomorrow to try the mac n cheese🤣🤣
Stopped for lunch while we were in the area exploring the sites. So happy we stopped in. The beef and black pudding pie is delicious! Friendly and quick service.
Friendly service, good food and great views outside. Somehow I got Cannstattverbot while eating here but that is not on the pub.
The food & service were excellent and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately we called earlier in the day and were unable to book a table. As it was during the summer holiday period we would've felt happier knowing we would be guaranteed a table particularly if booking a large group or having elderly family members or children in our party. We would've been happy to pay a deposit if it meant guaranteeing a booking. Just something to think about for future customers. We have been using the Lochy for many years and have never had this problem before. Surely it would be more beneficial for a restaurant to know how many bookings to expect during each service?
The starters were quite nice, especially the soup of the day. The dishes were more disappointing, the peri peri stir fry was really not that good but maybe we should have sticked with more local recipes. It is overall ok if you look for a place for a casual meal for a reasonable price.
Lovely local pub. We got in without reservations but managed to get a table straight away. I ordered the “Not quite lunch” dish with sausages, beans, fries and a cup of haggis. I also ordered a black americano. The place in cozy and very friendly. The staff was helpful and welcoming.
We really enjoyed all the food we had (over multiple visits) and the service was quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere as well when we were there. Would definitely return.
