Madeira - Cardiff - Photo album

My husband and I were both excited to have Portuguese food for dinner. We didn't have a reservation but the staff still managed to find a seat for us. The only issue was it was backed by the kitchens and it was very loud. The service was wonderful and friendly. The menu was a little confusing bu
I visited here for my mother's birthday having heard it was lovely. We weren't disappointed. The food was authentic and fresh and the menu had many delicious choices. To top it off as we were leaving the waiter realised it was mums birthday and they sang her a little song which was a fab surprise fo
Amazing food and stunning atmosphere. Felt rushed because they needed the table back quickly for a reservation
Portuguese restaurant with quality food. We ordered Mista but found it's not enough, recommend ordering a bit more. Really popular restaurant, had to book a month in advance.
Unique experience to eat kebab here, since chef put kebab or meat in steel rod, then grilled. Meat served still in the steel rod then hanged from the ceiling in center of table.
Wow wow wow. Main reasons, the food and the price. The food is quality and is everytime without fail and for amazing food the fills you up (I'm not a small eater) along with a pint for less than £20 who can complain. Certainly not me that's for sure. The extra bit, I mostly eat alone on business bu

Went for a family lunch, the food was lovely and could not fault the service.
Sad to see it go. Good food at a good price.
Heard great reviews on this restaurant so had to try it. Staff are very friendly and happy. The food is nice but have had better in all honesty. Great for parties or celebrations. Steak was lovely and service fast. I can't complain about anything but personally I can't see what all the fuss is abou
I have been to this place a few times and every single one I left feeling satisfied! The food is just amazing! Always busy during the evening so you might need to book in advance! If you prefer to enjoy their food and not worry about booking try going for their lunch time, staff are polite and the a
I've only come here a couple of times for a special occasion but every time has been an outstanding meal. The last time me and my husband shared the monkfish and beef and it was all delicious. The staff also went above and beyond taking birthday cakes in for us the night before for a surprise. A r
We have loved coming here over many years. The lunchtime menu of 2 courses for £10.95 is a winner and it's a bit quieter than the evening! Food is of an exceptional standard with their espetadas (hanging skewers) being a highlight though the fish is wonderful too.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough.. the food the level of service the price everything is absolutely outstanding... I've been visiting the Madeira restaurant for years, and as long as I can remember I don't think they even put their prices up. If you're looking for somewhere special to go
My first visit, a Monday evening and I expected it to be quiet - wrong. Busy but not packed, excellent atmosphere. Staff superb. Varied menu specialising in meat & fish as you would expect - there are some serious steaks here (there are other options). Had an excellent bottle of Portuguese wine to a
