The Potted Pig - Cardiff - Photo album

The food in the potted pig was delicious, however, despite the waiting staff being incredibly friendly, the service was extremely slow. From sitting down to receiving mains took around 1 hour 45 minutes. The staff apologised to us that they were overwhelmed (Friday evening) but it seems like they ar
I really enjoyed lunch here. Food was really good and the lunch time deal was fantastic value for money. We had two courses: pork burger and the Welsh rarebit. Both lovely. Roasted potatoes with the dishes slightly harder but flavourful. Rarebit was divine šŸ˜ Desserts of sticky toffee and the lemon
Awesome location and atmosphere. Had the three course Sunday lunch which was delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. Great service. Wonderful experience from beginning to end.
Booked for a group of 6 for my birthday, the Sunday roast was divine. I ended up opting for the sharing platter as I couldn't choose a main - they all sounded incredible. Food was excellent, great value for money. Heads up, they have an updated Sunday Roast Menu in person rather than their website.
First time dining here! The service was top notch; seated within a minute. Drinks orders taken within five minutes, food orders five minutes after. The staff were jovial and very welcoming without being over the top. Their menu was short and seasonal; certainly enough to entice the taste buds of a
We visited on a night when there was some filming going on with Adam Richman. We decided to just order mains and save ourselves for dessert. Iā€™m not sure whether it was the kerfuffle from the filming but it took a very long time for our food to arrive. The waiter having noticed this brought out a
What a fantastic Sunday Lunch at The Potted Pig in Cardiff. Probably the best Sunday Lunch I have ever eaten. We ordered the french onion soup to start and the the Sunday lunch mixed sharer for 2. Superb food, fantastic service in a lovely setting.
Ate in for dinner. Delicious crab ravioli. My husbandā€™s favourite was the Welsh rarebit. Expensive but you can anticipate that from the menu. Staff were helpful without being overly attentive. Atmosphere was interesting, like being in a secret cave!
The Potted Pig is a great spot for a date night or an occasion and my favorite restaurant in Cardiff! Everything we ordered was delicious! I loved the potted pig and the ribs, which just fell off the bone!
Absolutely delicious and amazing food. I felt like such a tasty meal not in the UK, but somewhere in France haha soooo tender meat and unbelievable combination of ingredients with amazing presentation. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and provided the highest level of service. The int
My wife and I are just moving to the area and we were looking for somewhere to have a date night amongst the dozens of bars and restaurants in Cardiff city. Boy did we find somewhere. The Potted Pig is amazing. It's a tiny door with a lift or a set of stairs to go down into a low lit restaurant. As
The staff made the entire night. Extremely welcoming, chatty and attentive. Perfect example of why you tip service. Only lost a star as unfortunately the table was a bit near to the kitchen which naturally had a bit of working noise. As well as this, the duck dish didn't quite live up to the price.
Loved the food, loved the atmosphere, everything about this place is great. I was having a hard time getting a good martini in the UK and Potted Pig delivered. The staff was also super sweet and gave us some bar recommendations for our night out in Cardiff.
After a day of visiting castles and even Tintern Abbey, it was great to get into The Potted Pig and have a great dinner. The ribs were falling of the bone, but I have to say they had more of a spicy kick than advertised. The lamb chop was tender and the pork belly was savory and crispy in parts. We
The potted pig Known for one of the best restaurants in the area and very tough to get into. I was able to slide in as a walk in and though the greater and service has been attentive thus far the area that I was placed in was secluded from the main restaurant with the dƩcor of an old cellar. I order
A little gem close to the Castle. We entered into the Potted Pig without much expectations only to be blown out of the water. The short walk downstairs rewarded us with a tasteful ambiance that maybe could do with a slightly brighter lightning. The menu is well presented and has a fizzy twist to i
Nice menu. The place is OK. Service is a bit slow between dishes and drinks, like 20-25 minutes and restaurant was almost empty. Sirloin was really good (not cheap either) but I would put the sauce aside, not cover it for such expensive cut. Greens are Ā£5 but nothing special. Fishcake was good. Leak
It was absolutely a great Welsh Michelin star dining experience here. Paid for just Ā£25 for 3 course set, with the signature potted pig and beef brisket. The potted pig is just gracious, with really mixture of flavour, and truly delicious. Highly recommend if you are visiting Cardiff.
Amazing quality good with a fabulous range of choice. Great drinks and lovely atmosphere. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable and a great experience. I would thoroughly recommend.
