Visited recently for a Sunday Roast and was not disappointed! Fantastic service and atmosphere as ever, and the food was brilliant. A whole roast chicken for two, with all of the sides and trimmings, deliciously and quickly cooked. Fantastic value for money too! We will definitely be coming again!

Fabulous Sunday lunch, whole chicken, stuffing, roasties, pigs in blankets, parsnips, new potatoes, broccoli, carrots and cabbage, gravy for £24. Dessert chocolate orange torte, scrumptious. Proper old school home made cooked food. Great friendly service, like a pub should be in my eyes. Everyone treated equally. This will be a regular, not many pubs like this any more. Definitely worth a visit for weekday now too!! Home from home.

The Y Maerun is one of those local pubs that just gets everything right. A warm welcome with every visit from all the staff. It’s now become our regular local, as the staff are attentive, friendly and up for a friendly bit of banter. The food is consistent excellent and very good value for money. I love the chicken fajitas as they come on a sizzling cast iron tray with a heap full of bell peppers, onion, and melt in the mouth chicken breast chunks with Cajun seasoning to die for! Tonight the cook Callum made a special vindaloo curry that was hot but not crazy hot and warmed up all the senses. One of the best I’ve ever tasted. I cannot recommend this country pub enough. They have regular live bands, special meals and evenings where the place is buzzing with locals and visitors having a great time. The Sunday roasts are cooked with love and taste like ya mum made it! I’m a fan as you can tell, because having a friendly local with consistently excellent food and service is something to shout about, well done to the whole team!

Stunning little country pub in the heart of Marshfield. Beautiful interior, nice menu with plenty to choose from. Lovely beer garden with facilities for the kids . Had the chicken tikka masala, it came with half rice and half chips with popudum pieces . If you fancy a drive out into the country then I recommend this place 👌

A wonderful place to stay with your four legged friends 🐕 super friendly welcome and service. Fantastic location for walking to Harlech beach or touring the North West Coast. Delicious freshly prepared food. My favourites include the curry and the steak. Just a word of advice, you need to book to eat in the restaurant.

Ths was I think the Port o Call and I wish the name had been kept as don't like the Welsh name. Food was OK but the environment was too hot. Located in Marshfield adjacent to the main rail line from Newport to Cardiff.

My partner and I had been camping for the week down the road and on our last night we finally ate out. I am annoyingly gluten, dairy and oat free (annoying for cooks/chefs and myself) we called ahead before booking to make sure there would be something suitable and there was. I LOVE steak. My partner and I both had the 12oz rump and both were cooked to absolute perfection even the chips were fantastic, crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside just how they should be. If I'd had space in my belly to eat it again straight away I would've ordered another but we were both stuffed. Excellent food, lovely staff, great service and on a really busy night as well. Will defenatly be making a detour next time we visit South Wales.

Called in for Sunday lunch, so glad we did, probably one of the tastiest we've had in a pub. Great looking menu although haven't sampled the other food yet. They also serve the full menu on a Sunday, not just the roast dinners.
