The Chapel 1877 Restaurant And Bar - Cardiff - Photo album

I was really lucky to walk in and manage to get a table without booking. It was pretty packed when I left. I was given a table by the kitchen area where I could see the live view of the chefs cooking our dishes. The restaurant is based in a chapel converted. Really feeling the coziness in the restau
Went for lunch in one if the booths. Best to book ad it can be busy and only got 3 booths as well! Refit very tastefully done with most of the original features as well. Good selection on the menu and wine. Everything is done very well. You are looked after by the staff room start to finish. In the
A true gem restaurant in Cardiff!! Beautiful venue with huge history transferred into amazing restaurant. Made a booking with my partner to celebrate our anniversary while visiting Cardiff. Couldn’t choose better!! Welcoming staff, great service and delicious food, congrats to all team! Truly impres
The place is amazing, you can feel the history and sort of "mysyery" in every single corner. The food itself is one of the best I've eaten so far in UK. The Chapel will take u in the journey full of excitement straight to haven.
Pub & Restaurant created inside gothic Chapel? 🍻💒Sounds intriguing! And it is! Just been on drinks and besides that choice wasn't satisfying at all but want to back one day to try food
The restaurant preserves the structure of a old Chapel, which gives it a unique atmosphere, with many cozy corners and large interior balconies. The food was excellent in its taste and presentation. The attention was outstanding from the very beginning to the end. Definitely a place to share a r
Myself and my partner were visiting for my birthday weekend and came to this lovely restaurant for dinner while staying at the ibis hotel across the road. We had a drink in the bar downstairs before dinner. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were seated quickly in a private booth upst
Came here to try a higher class of dining on a student budget, so booked and ordered from the bar menu. Was quite busy with people coming and going mainly for a drink (Monday night). Staff were friendly enough, although there was no drinks menu which made ordering at the bar quite awkward. Food came
I had the privilege to be invited to a exclusive menu tasting for their new autumn/winter menu which has just launch . As soon as I got their there was cocktail on arrival and the guests and myself were taken to our seats .The service and food was top quality something out of a Michelin restaurant .
I had a rump steak in the bar/lounge area. Great quality for the cost and nicely cooked to my order of medium rare. The restaurant offers a more formal dining experience but the bar menu offers standard gastro pub fare at a reasonable cost in a relaxed atmosphere.
My partner took me here for my birthday meal, he had reserved us a cuddle booth which was so lovely (it appears to be an old confession box). When we were seated they greeted us with bread and balsamic dip. The waiter was very helpful with his recommendation about how to have the venison cooked (as
This place is amazing, great atmosphere, great service and amazing interior. A must visit place in Cardiff, only 2 minutes walk from Cardiff Queen Street train station.
Very interesting building, stunning deco great place to visit for drinks or food, starter I had seared scallops with chroizo. Main Pan fried chicken supreme both were delicious 😋
Great food good service lovely surroundings, would definitely recommend.
A gorgeous building with original features of the Chapel inside. Soup of the day (Leek and potato) was delicious, more vegan options needed here. We had the nut roast which was very dry. A great location as very near to the centre, bar downstairs and dining on the upper levels. Friendly staff.
Highly recommend this restaurant and bar. Have visited a couple of times now and each time deservedly given five stars. Food is great and staff is very friendly. The restaurant is cosy and have nice quirky booths if you want a quiet area for a meal for two. Recommended and will visit again.
From cocktails to food, one of the great spots in Cardiff that should be part of your experience. Very fun for a group of friends or something special for someone you love. Ask to have dinner in one of the original chapel confessionals.
What a beautiful building! Food and drinks were absolutely stunning and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Well worth a visit if in Cardiff!
