The Dressed Crab was delicious
The Steaks were grilled to exactly what we had requested
I had the best Salmon ever. So big and cooked so well
The Eton Mess was truly the best ever
We had Cocktails and wine too of course
We shall be returning that's for sure
Have visited a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Visited with a large group and with family and friends. The atmosphere, food and wine was very enjoyable. The staff were attentive. The lift is very slow it’s quicker to take the stairs and the tables were a bit cramped but the service, wine and food was excellent. Will visit again.
We visited the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill several times during our stay in Cardiff, as it was part of the Indigo Hotel. We had breakfast and lunch there while staying at the hotel.
The restaurant is centrally located in Cardiff, but it can be a little difficult to spot because it is located on the 6th floor of the Indigo Cardiff. Upon entering, you are greeted by a very stylish and modern restaurant with a lovely grand piano and plenty of seating for drinks before or after your meal.
Breakfast was a very pleasant experience. There was a range of options on the continental buffet, and you also get a choice from their breakfast menu. I had "The Favourite," which is smoked salmon, eggs, and avocado on sourdough. It was divine. The continental buffet had everything you would want, including fruits, cereals, pastries, a variety of breads, and more.
We then stopped for Sunday lunch, which I have to say was absolutely fantastic. I started with French onion soup, which was sensational. Then, my husband and I both had the Sunday roast. There was so much of it that I couldn't quite believe it when it was delivered to the table. There was so much meat, and the beef was amazingly tender. There was pretty much every side you could want, including Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast potatoes, and a huge array of vegetables, including amazing cauliflower cheese.
The service was also fantastic from start to finish. The whole team was highly professional and approachable. I personally cannot fault anything that we had, and every aspect was top quality. I would certainly recommend a visit if you're looking for a fantastic Sunday roast—but make sure you come hungry!
First experience in a celebrity chefs place.
It was enjoyable, not too expensive and the service was excellent.
On the back of this experience, we will be trying other restaurants closer to home, so, well done.
We thoroughly enjoyed our three course meal here. There was a slight mix up with the sides ordered but it was corrected within 5 minutes. Lovely staff and freshly prepared food. If you're staying in Hotel Indigo Cardiff then it's the perfect place to eat as it's located in the same building.
As we were staying at the hotel attached to the restaurant, my husband and I made a booking for the three course set menu. Please be aware that this option is not available in the evenings (we did not see this stipulation when we looked online).
We both found the venue to be very Covid-safe. We were not seated too near to anyone else and the menu we were provided with was single-use.
Our waitress was incredibly friendly and accommodating, giving us excellent food recommendations, despite it only being her first week!
We both had the Welsh rarebit, followed by the steak. For dessert, I had the bread and butter pudding and he had the chocolate ice cream. The food was delicious and the steak was the highlight of our meal. For just under £22 a head it was incredibly good value.
It’s good, but I think there are ways to improve. The service was fantastic. Sometimes a little too eager but that’s fine, it’s something to learn from as staff. Food wise, adored the starters, the scotch egg is a fantastic option and worth going for. Sever with a creamy mustard sauce which pairs so well with the yolk of the egg and the meaty flavour. A real highlight! The French onion soup was very tasty, it seemed like almost a more of a tomato base rather than a beef stock, none the less very enjoyable. The mains were a little bit of a let down, the roast chicken was very moist and flavoursome, as well as the mushrooms. But the fondant potato seemed under seasoned, the same goes for the spinach. They stuck out a lot on the plate as not reaching the flavour of the chicken and mushroom. My partners steak was cooked slightly under for the order. Same complaint about the spinach, and the chips we’re very good. Just a matter of seasoning, tightening the edges. Finally the mouse was superb with chantilly cream. Drinks were also fantastic, with a massive selection. Menu helpfully sets wines into their flavour profiles. Overall a good meal, but the mains a little bit of a letdown for the price.
My first time at this restaurant and it will definitely not be my last.
The staff were fantastic, courteous and extremely efficient.
The hostess Claire was superb.
I ordered the steak with garlic prawns. Wow! By far the best steak I have ever tasted
Exceptionally good food. We had a speaker above our table which blasted out music a bit louder than was comfortable and the staff were a touch slow at taking our order, but the food itself was too notch. Definitely recommend a visit!
Wasn't sure what to expect here, but the food was incredible. The panco bread crumb chicken burger with triple cooked chips was a crunchy delight. The Perfect Eton Mess??? Yes, indeed. Soft, chewy, crunchy, juicy and mouthwateringly goodness. I would highly recommend Marc's Cardiff to anyone!
Oh my goodness. What. A. Meal. Came here for our wedding anniversary and left in a food coma. Started with the Welsh rarebit for me, the calamari rings for my wife and chicken crunches for my son. Amazing. Then had 10oz sirloin with chips and bernaise sauce. I've. Never had a better steak. It melted and was cooked to absolute perfection. My son had a burger which was equally amazing. For dessert, I had sticky toffee pudding, my wife had billionaires shortbread and my son had chocolate brownie. Unbelievably good on all counts. Would recommend to absolutely anyone.
Great dinner, well prepared food and good wine selection. Very attentive service from a young waitress named Kim, even when it was busy. Quick peek over my shoulder let me see the expiditing station and kitchen staff were really on point. Nice experience and will definitely come back when in the area again.
