It was our first visit to Tuk Tuk and it did not disappoint. The staff was incredibly friendly and took us through the menu. Advised us on the spice levels and what goes great with each dish.
The food arrived quickly and tasted amazing. The chilli squid was to die for, with big fat chunks of squid covered in a crispy batter. None of those chewy rings you get in other places!
We are definitely coming back soon!
How have I not tried this place sooner?!
Firstly I was blown away by the aesthetic of the interior, very detailed and full of textures from walls to ceiling. The hanging lamp shades we later found out were imported from Thailand, making this experience even more authentic. As for the food we ordered:
Tom yum soup with prawns- heartwarming bowl with the right balance of sour and spicy flavours! Perfect for cold and rainy weather
Gang Med Mamuang with chicken- deliciously stir fried with a medley of vegetables and had a savoury and sweet taste which went well with roti and egg fried rice!✨
Pad Thai with prawns- beautifully presented encased in an omelette had the sweet, tanginess and nutty flavour
Massaman curry with duck- was a favourite of ours, it had just the right amount of sweetness and consistency. Went very well with roti and egg fried rice
Sticky rice and mango- sweet mango slices on a bed of coconut sticky rice! what a delightful combination of sweet and creamy flavours
Mango cheesecake- a delicious layer of crunchy base, thick creamy filling and sweet mango purée
Overall, we enjoyed everything here; the food and ambience were excellent, and not to forget the impeccable service we received from the staff especially Cornelius, who undoubtedly served us with professionalism and warmth throughout our dining experience!
We’re already looking forward to trying the rest of the dishes:)
Went here for the first time with a couple of friends and the food was delicious and the interior was fab… however, we booked for 8.30pm and was told online that the table was for 1hr40mins… the lady serving was nice however my real bugbear was when they started bringing the mains and we hadn’t finished our starters so there were lots of plates on the table and at 9.50pm we were told that they were shutting at 10pm promptly. Surely their last table booking should be for 8.20pm?
The empty chairs were stacked on the tables and we felt very rushed to finish so the experience wasn’t as pleasant as it could’ve been. Obviously it states they shut at 10pm but we really didn’t realise we would be shunted out the doors so quickly or felt to get out so abruptly - I’d recommend going earlier to get a better experience!
Service was great, the severs were very friendly! The food was incredible and was well presented. I would 100% recommend the Zap wings, especially if you are a spice lover! The lychee rose mimosa was beautiful and extremely tasty! I would not hesitate to come back again soon.
Great service, amazing food, people are really friendly. One of the side dishes we ordered was forgotten so we still got it and it was taken off the bill - great place :)
A beautifully designed place with delicious food and drinks. The food was just the right amount of spicy, and in generous portions. Felt like an authentic Thai restaurant, with nice lighting, music, and hanging decorations. It's clear to see the place is well managed and thought through. Loved going here, and can't wait to go back next time I'm in Cardiff!
Easily one of the best meals I have had for a while. From the service to the food, it was faultless. Andre (I think was his name) apologies if I’m wrong. The service from him was amazing, very funny and made the meal even better with great recommendations on the food and cocktails. The best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to and will definitely be coming back very soon.
Curry rice is recommended. The rice has been processed to have a coconut aroma, which is very delicious. Desserts are also good.

Excellent - a good Thai restaurant tucked in Crwys road. We experienced an authentic thai cuisine unlike ubiquitous and bland take away spots. We went during lunch time. It was quite and ambience was nice . Guys were very friendly and suggested what to order. We tried krapau kung, masandam curry, coconut rice, chicken wings, Thai green tea and a Mogo mogo drink. It was lush. Suggest not to go till “extra spicy”
You may park behind British heart foundation ( horizon parking) and walk for 2 minutes as it’s a very busy street
PS: photos may not be great 🫣
Visited this restaurant as it was highly rated in Cardiff. The service was quick and the food was good. Highly recommend the thai green curry as it was lovely. However, we both ordered the lemon iced tea and it tasted so horrible. We didnt drink and asked for water instead. We were also rushed out of our table at the end as the restaurant was getting busy.
