I've been here three times already, thanks to the generosity of the company offering free meals during their preopening event this weekend. I may have taken advantage of this offer, seeing as this is my local pub/restaurant I did want to try out a variety of what they have on offer, and they did not disappoint! I would have happily paid full price for the meals I received as they were generous in portion, delicious and the service was quick. The little beer samples were helpful as they have a huge selection to choose from, I also tried the beer flights where you can choose a selection of three 1/3 pints, delicious!! The staff were spot on, very helpful and kind, couldn't do enough for us � The whole place has been revamped and is looking better than ever, very chilled environment and lovely decor. I can't wait to spend my summer evening in the beer garden which has also had a massive make over and is looking like the perfect place to relax with a nice cold beer! The Welsh has been maintained and as a Welsh person this means a lot, and I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into maintaining this special touch � I will be returning and thank you again for the lovely food and drinks.
Amazing place with an incredible food menu. The beer selection is unparalleled. Great to find a place that served genuinely good vegetarian options rather than just the standard "stuffed peppers" or "salad". Would highly recommend this place for a chilled evening, nice meal out or a casual beer (for those who like to try different beers and ales often). Great staff, lovely atmosphere and a brilliant location.
Stopped off for a pit stop. Haven't been here for years. I think it used to be called something else. My brother treated me to a meal, and my 10oz steak was beautifully succulent, tender, and moist.
I highly recommend this establishment for good food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating.
Nice Sunday lunch, vegan options and a great place to shelter from the rain for a couple of hours.

We came there for lunch. Beautiful environment. About food, we ordered 3 small plates and 1/4 chicken set plus drinks. They were all delicious. Couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommend.
We did the whisky and beer pairing with Joe, and it was really fun and informative. Great range of different whiskys and really tasty beer. Would definitely recommend. Included a tour of the brewery and dinner as well as 5 different beers and whiskys and lots of information about the history and process of brewing.
We did the beer and whiskey masterclass and it was brilliant. A nice variety of beers and whiskey with explanations of each. The food after was also good.
First off, the most important bit. GOOD PARKING FOR YOUR CAR!
Great dog friendly bar and kitchen. Doggy treats and bowls of water available free. Human drinks rather expensive and the mac and cheese could do with being a slightly larger portion size. However that being said, the food was delicious and its a city center location so on par price wise with everywhere else in Cardiff.
I would visit again with family and or dog in our car.
Great food and lovely brewery. Excellent selection of beers and ciders. I particularly appreciated the nonalcoholic (0.5%) beers on tap. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, with lots of sitting space.
This is a nice pub right next to Sofia Gardens. It has a really large outside seating area but food isn't served out the front sadly. A pretty good selection of beers when they are all in stock. It's a nice place to go with friends.
Really great pub, especially if you’re at Sophia for something. Great beer selection, as well as some table top beer pumps for those looking for some novelty. The food is solid with some proper pub grub, and some posher stuff too. The staff are always helpful and work fast. There are two outside seating areas, one of these under cover, so great for the smokers. Finally, there’s a good selection in the drinks front. More diversity on the pump than your usual lagers with a couple of ciders. A really solid pub in a great spot.
