The Ty Nant Inn is the place to be in Radyr. Possibly because it's the only pub left. But luckily it was always the best pub. There are lots of cosy corners to sit in as well as an extensive outside area complete with children's play area.
We go here for a family night out, a meal is reasonably priced and there are plenty of vegetarian options. It's owned by Brains, which is good because that's our Cardiff brewery but not so good if you are a beer lover as the selection is not that extensive.
The big events are the quizzes on Sundays and Wednesdays. In theory the Sunday night is easier. Despite frequent attendance, and therefore practice, we've as yet to actually win.
Being a brains pub it does have its limits. However, each time we have eaten here the food has been hot fresh with large portions.
This is a great Family Pub and the fab is wonderful. It has a good selection of dishes and always has specials on everyday.
There is an outside area where you can eat and drink outside and a small childrens play area which is well maintained.
It is in a good location not far from the A470 with a large carpark and it is in a good location for walkers. Also with a good garden centre just across the road.
All meals are large portions much favorite isthe Lasgane and even I struggle to eat it all.
Best burger that I have it for long time. Nice garden , very attentive staff. Highly recommended if you want something good and a great atmosphere.

This was an excellent meal. While the food was very good, most was also mild tasting.
I had the mixed grill: the chicken was done well, it was moist and not dry (hugely important). The seasoning was mild, and while tasty was not overly unique... but it was tasty. Just a pinch of extra seasoning, and it was excellent.
The Lincolnshire sausages were very very tasty. They are mild sausages with a wonderful flavor.
I had never eaten gammon before, and it was excellent. Full of flavor, a bit smoky tasting, and very moist.
The steak tasted good, I prefer just a bit more seasoning. It was juicy.
The lasagna was creamy and flavorful, but again, somewhat mild.
We polished off the sticky toffee pudding down to the last morsel.
The price for what you get is exceptional and the staff were very friendly.
I would certainly recommend this, but just be aware, if you like very strong flavors, you may be be dissapointed. If your preference leans towards a more mild flavor, you will find this excellent.
It was all good enough, that while we were still in town... we went back... awesome staff and food.
The burger was flavorful and moist... very well worth it.
The steak and ale was very tasty as well.
My husband is a full time wheelchair user and the staff were very supportive in making sure the table was at the right height. The disabled toilets are a plus even though a vacuum cleaner was in there, one of the staff members removed it straight away! Would definitely recommend and will return
Came here the night before attending a wedding at Canada Lodge & Lake. It was close by so suited us nicely, the food was lovely and portion sizes were generous. I had the Mac & Cheese (with popcorn chicken) and followed with the Raspberry Cheesecake - both were delicious. You can order on the app and have it brought to your table, service was a little slow but it was busy.
We had a table booked for 4 which turned into a table needed for 7 on arrival. We were made to feel this was no problem and were quickly catered for very efficiently. We were very grateful. Our server, who we nicknamed "eggless Ele" was very Friendly and built great rapport with us all. We had a great evening, food was lovely too! Thank you
We dined here after our wedding and I have to say it was great, they decorated our table and it looked amazing, I definitely recommend if your having a small wedding and looking for somewhere quiet and nice this is the place, also a huge thank you to the lady who decorated for us she was fantastic. 17 of us and not 1 mistake with the meals, everything was just right. A very nice pub, with decent food such as burgers, gammon and other pub favourites. There was the option to order online.
We went on Sunday and it was table service. Alex was lovely she checked on us regularly to make sure we were happy with everything. Alex is always really nice and helpful when we visit.
Service was absolutely amazing. We ordered using the QR code and the drinks arrived almost as soon as we had paid. Food wasn't far behind either. Good quality food and drink as well. We had a lovely evening.
Sunday roast was delicious and good portion for the price. Desserts were delicious as well. Staff super friendly and easily sorted an issue where I was charged twice for dessert. Would definitely come again.
Five of us enjoyed the mains of beer batter cod chips and peas and not a bit left ! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and made more pleasurable by the 30% discount of the mains ! The best fish and chips served here . All of us over 80’s and 90’s and loved the food thank you
Mostly great - the only issue was that when we arrived, we had to wait for 5 minutes for anyone to seat us. Staff had gone past and even a quick "so sorry - someone will be with you shortly" would have gone a long way im improving the customer service.
Lovely local pub with super helpful and friendly particularly Ellie. The food was good and a nice selection of drinks. I enjoyed the Cheein Blanc
Half term. My daughter is a teacher with three children. We visit around 4 times a year and I have to say that today the food was outstanding. Especially the Chicken & Bacon Salad. The children all enjoyed their meals. Love this pub as nice shops and garden centre near by. Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been before. X

The restaurant was decorated beautifully with Christmas ornaments and the staff were really friendly and that made all the difference. We could still order at the bar instead of on an app without having any interaction which we also liked. Food was amazing and we all enjoyed it. We will be coming again.
