We came to the Sandmartin yesterday especially for food, i had the carvery ( ive had it before) which i couldnt fault in any way, everything was spot in,staff are lovely, i had turkey and beef but not gammon because i wanted to have extra veg,my partner had the carnivore burger and loved it,I'd recommend this place to anyone, best carvery I've ever had :-)
Just finished a lovely family meal,my burger was a little under cooked but the manageress went above and beyond. Brought me a new meal, a free drink and free dessert. Will definitely be returning
Very nice decor and a large seating area. The carvery was great value for money.

Absolutely lovely food, great friendly staff. l rely on a large mobility scooter and the staff were fantastic in finding a table with ample room to park my scooter next to my table.Five stars to everyone involved..
My husband and I brought my grandmother for lunch after my mother passed away last week unexpectedly. We wanted to get her out of the house. We came for lunch as we knew it would be quieter. The service was great. We ordered at the table which was really convenient. The food was lovely. It was a pleasant experience.
Lovely spacious restaurant / public house. Clean and tidy with friendly and helpful staff. A very comprehensive menu for food and drinks, reasonably priced too. On my first visit I had the carvery, this was excellent quality and fantastic taste at a great temperature. We most definitely visit again, highly recommended 10/10.
Had a great meal over weekend with our family, lovely burgers & steaks, very impressed with food, price & quality. Lovely atmosphere in the pub & staff very welcoming & friendly. Highly recommend a visit!
First time I've visited and was pleasantly surprised. A lovely atmosphere here with friendly staff.
Lots of choice on the menus or just grab a drink or two.
Nice space at the back end of the venue to keep the kids entertained.
Will definitely make a return visit soon :)
Excellent carvery and always hot! Have to get own cutlery and napkins now, but not too worried. Wasn't given correct receipt/tickets for meal. Very accommodating, however. Nice ambience too.
We came here for a meet up for food and beers one evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a Thursday evening and there was a quiz on so we've been coming back every Thursday since!
The food is amazing; I can especially recommend the burgers; flame grilled to perfection and served with a pile of skinny fries.
There's a great selection of beers and my current favourite, Neck Oil from Beavertown brewery.
The ambience is pleasant and the music is gentle background, suitable for a conversation.
Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant also allows dogs inside.
Only negative is it's a bit pricey.
Two of us booked a table for the Wednesday curry and drink for £11.95 offer. We were charged an extra £3 each for choosing half rice and chips with our curry which we weren’t advised beforehand and was the main negative. We both had a pint of pedigree with our meal, which was the only ale available, although it was very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Food (beef madras and chicken masala) both tasty and decent portion size.
Experience was absolutely amazing! Arrived half an hour before my time slot for a table booking as we were trying to arrange a table that we could have balloons around! The girls were lovely couldnt help us enough! Thank you
Very welcoming good atmosphere even at your busiest time you were able to fit us in. Food well presented and variety of veg available. Overall a very well presented pub carvery.
