Such an amazing place to have a wedding. My sister has just had her wedding here. I really can't express how wonderful the day was. Everything from the staff, arrival drinks, the canapes, 3 course meal, evening food and all drinks were perfect.
I have to say a special mention to Megan from the New house she is simply the best wedding co-ordinator and a massive asset to the hotel. She made everything feel so unique, so special and made the day run so smooth, nothing went wrong. Big thank you Megan. We placed our trust in her to see the vision and she delivered. Thank you also to Ollie who helped on the day.
As this was a big wedding we booked every room and was able to visit different family and friends. All rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay or as a place for your special day. The views are spectacular.
8 years ago we had our civil partnership at new house country hotel and we return regularly therefore maybe bit biased We visited last night . The food was delicious, the quality of the food was superb and the lovely presentation. The staff were attentive without being intrusive . Highly recommend. We been during the week and for Sunday lunches. Definitely recommend .
We got married at the New House yesterday (15.08.2018) and it was the most perfect day imaginable. The staff were amazing and friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable and stress free. The venue itself was out of this world! It has the most beautiful views and surroundings and the marquee looked magical. I would 100% recommend this venue for your wedding day and night. Thank you to the New House and all of its staff for providing us with the most perfect day, it was everything we wanted and more.
We got married here yesterday 21st April, the venue is amazing and when the sun is shining it really is special! The food was amazing and the staff are so professional and cannot help you enough! They work such longer hours but nothing was too much trouble from reception staff, to the cleaners, restaurant staff and Ollie was absolutely amazing he made us feel at ease as he had everything at hand and boy did he! They have the whole package and wouldn’t of changed a think xxx

We got married at the new house 28.7.18. It was an absolutely perfect day we couldn't have asked for more. From the minute we booked almost 2 years before nothing was too much trouble from the staff. Such a helpful friendly place. We would like to give Abby a thank you for helping us on the Thursday & making the children's day by being happy & clapping your hands. A massive thank you also to Olly absolutely outstanding all day we can't thank you enough everybody commented on how amazing he was. Can't wait to come back and visit.
My daughter had her wedding here yesterday and was lovely we were all made really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Would really recommend. The breakfast was lovely and not rushed.

We got married here Sunday 1st April 2018, absolute perfect venue,the decoration was fantastic absolutely perfect me and my partner couldn't of asked for better. We want to say a massive thank you especially to Megan who helped us organise everything and Ollie who on the day was amazing we couldn't of done it without him. We would highly recommend the venue. Your staff deserve a separate mention, everyone we came into contact with was friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble, I know I will forget some names but Emily, Cath, Grant and Alex were really great.

I went to spend a few days with real fires, great food beautiful rooms and a quiet getaway with my mum . The house looks very beautiful.
The whole place is very clean and service with a smile was at reception the bars and the dining area. A special shout out to the housekeepers who were quick quiet and super .
We had a standard room and it came with an outside area and an astounding view over the valley . The bathroom was lovely too. A shower and a bath in the bathroom of room 6 is of a really good standard.
Beds were comfortable slightly firm. Plenty of storage and lovely dog inspired art as well as local art and a lovely glossy book about the local area
Takes about 20 minutes to drive into Cardiff .
Decent WiFi speed but you would have difficulty depending on it in some areas .
Staff were able to have a little personality showing and looked out for each other. This was lovely to see and something above the corporate extra formal uniforms. Super professional reception staff they were always able to help. it was lovely to see the more experienced looking out for the newer staff when needed. My mum loves to ask questions and they tried their best to answer!
The food was drop dead gorgeous. I loved the festive menu for dinner. The wines were well paired too. They kept my wine from one night for the next. You would spend more at the Miller carter down the road than here. Go hungry as the portions were great too!
Stay for a Christmas party. Rooms are spacious, and all room amenities are available as expected. Views from the hotel are amazing. I have stayed previously, and they have updated the grounds since my last stay. These improvements have really elevated the look of the hotel. Ideal for weddings or a relaxed night away. Would highly recommend.
A truly excellent evening meal yet again in the Seqoiua Resturant at the New Country House Hotel last week. The menu was varied, dishes generous and full of flavour. Lovely, relaxed ambience and the service excellent. We live locally and this is a gem of a place, outside of the city.
A truly beautiful venue. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our 1st cooperative event being held here and look forward to returning.
We've stayed at this hotel on many occasions and can not recommend it highly enough! Last week we even got upgraded to the 'Honeymoon Sweet' for no extra charge! Breakfast was plentiful and staff helpful and friendly including the Director who stocked up the open fires with logs!

Another fabulous stay.
The entire team here are warm, kind and efficient - the rooms super clean with the most comfortable beds and lovely bedding. We always sleep soundly here.
Many rooms have lovely views out towards the sea over Cardiff - it was magical to wake up to this view.
Big shout out to the awesome Evan and Alex! Evan was soooo helpful and kind and was able to help us check in earlier…and offered paracetamol when I had run out and kindly called me to check if I’d like breakfast when I overslept! A superstar!
Alex also went above and beyond - helpful, kind and brought me mega strong tea , helped me out when I needed it and even shared her top tips for “over indulgence”

Wonderful location with superb views. I must admit being somewhat disappointed with the welcome, the person who checked us in was somewhat sullen both on arrival and the next day. Other staff though were friendly and professional. Whilst the room was visibly immaculate, there was a 'damp' smell within, otherwise comfortable.
Highlight was the food in the restaurant in the evening though breakfast was somewhat dry/overcooked, perhaps owing to the volume with wedding guests present from the previous day.
I really wanted to love this place, not quite there sadly.
Went to a family wedding here and what a venue!! The grounds are gorgeous, and the rooms are lovely, spacious and very comfortable! We also had an outdoor seating area that was private and ideal for a chill in the fresh air. Truly, the rooms were excellent quality and not too expensive either.
Staff were helpful and accommodating, and my partner and I had a wonderful time! I should also mention the view of Cardiff City from the front of the property - never knew such a view of the city existed! Ideal opportunity for photos, or just lovely to look at. The grounds generally serve well for wedding photos.
We also had breakfast the next day, which was so needed after a day of celebrations and, let's be honest, drinking. Generous portions and tasty! If you wanted more, you got more. All round great experience
