Really enjoyed a wander around IKEA. So much to see and enjoy. I didn't get all I went out to buy but came away with some lovely bath sheets that are quick drying so will be good for our holiday and 2 small orchids.
Everything you need for the home. Good range of everything here from Storage to bathrooms to furniture. Busy on the weekends especially. Cheap food that ikea is known for.
Enjoyed our visit on Saturday, my husband tho hates it. He feels trapped in the one way system and refuses to wait in the mega long queues for food, which is a shame as the food looked niceâŠ..
but he puts up with it for me with the promise of a carvery from the Cedar Tree pub just up the road lol. đ
I love it here tho, the way they display the different rooms Kitchens, Bathrooms, Living rooms, Bedroom is outstanding & inspirating, it gives you ideas on decorating your own home.
Thereâs a lot of walking around as itâs one way system so I can see itâs annoying if you just wanted a particular item but personally I enjoyed going from the different rooms.
Parking is plentiful and easy to access.
The place is huge. It's a day out. The food in the onsite cafe is reasonably priced and good quality. My wife and daughter could easily have redecorated the house from there. Parking was fine with plenty of spaces available.
Great food and products. Came at 10am on a Sunday and offered amazing breakfast. The Hot Chocolate was delicious and creamy with a strong taste of chocolate. The workers there looked happy and that really improved the shopping experience. They have improved since my last visit.
IKEA is such a fun place to go! Cardiffâs IKEA is especially nice, itâs really big with lots of things to see! Also has 2 food places which is convenient. Staff are friendly and always willing to help! The displays are absolutely beautiful and make you want to buy everything! Itâs an enjoyable experience and day out. I would recommend if you have kids.
Alright if you know what you're looking for in there.. maze is ok for a gander if you want to kill time. One beautiful dark room. Fancied the sink so took a pic of that too..
Food's a bit mental. Love the free tea tho.
ÂŁ2.50 for 3 sorry looking slices of cheese and 2 slices of tomato. Do people really buy that?
As an Ikea employee from Australia, it is always great to visit other stores around the world.

A.very bright store, to get round you.have to follow the arrows, seemed to walk miles, which for someone walking with a walking aid, isn't too good, it could be better designed. Other than that lots on offer, everything you need to set up or refurbish a home from a candle to a full kitchen. Only 4 stars from me because of the layout of the store.
A very large shop and the only IKEA in Wales. The shop sells a wide variety of things for the home, including furniture, soft furnishings, bedding, storage boxes, crockery and kitchen utensils, lighting, rugs and much more.
Most of the parking is underneath the shop (very useful on a rainy day) with some disabled spaces and electrical vehicle charging spaces located near the shop entrance. There are lifts, stairs and escalators providing access to the main shopping floors.
The second floor is home to the main furniture showroom with the rest of the shop access via the first floor. If you don't want to look around the showroom, you can access the shopping area directly from the first floor (behind the stairs).
If you are looking for anything in particular, I'd recommend checking stock online before visiting. The website will tell you whether the item is in stock here, how many they have and where they are located. They also have computers available at the main furniture warehouse which you can use to search for any items you need to find. The IKEA app offers a useful'scan as you shop' which is very useful to speed up checkout at the self-service tills.
The shop includes a small restaurant and cafe (where IKEA Family members can claim a free hot drink), a small shop selling a selection of mostly Swedish food items and snacks and a children's crĂšche.
I love a 'day out' to IKEA. The experience in-store is what you make it - either the snail-pace grand tour or a combination of short-cuts to get where you need to go. My only recent criticism would be for the café - we went on a busy Saturday and everything felt a bit grimy - dirty cutlery and mugs, no plates for the desserts and no clean tables. There was a small hair in my Daim cake too. The hot food is still great in taste and price, but the café struggles with standards in busier times. The staff do a great job where they can - I think there just needs to be more of them on weekends to keep everything running smoothly.
It's a day trip to go to IKEA... đ If you plan to go plan at least 4-6 hours for browsing the levels and collecting your items + 1 hour for lunch as the queues are constantly present. It's fairly expensive, but we came across good deals and good quality products.
We love Ikea, even if we donât need to buy anything itâs a great option on a rainy day. Great value meals in the restaurant, the creche is usually open and free for a 45 minute session which the kids love. There are seasonal activities available (face painting, arts and crafts, bookable activities etc) and the children love just wandering round to explore all of the home scene rooms!
Very child friendly, doesnât need to cost a lot to take a trip there, generally lovely staff.
Always fun walking around here and I always land up spending too much. Great room ideas and reasonable priced items.
Didn't have to wait too long at the self service till.
Brilliant store everything I could want and need!! Can click and collect also, cafe is great and the food is always good! Has a kids crash which you can book into in advance
