Had a most wonderful Sunday roast lunch, we went for the larger dinner and was surprised by the huge size. The quantity was absolutely perfect, there was a lovely twist to the red cabbage with the addition of apple.
As per normal the staff hit it out of the park!

As usual the food and service was exceptional. the large fish and chip was and is always good value, well cooked and a large white cod portion, better than any chip shop. Lowry was very good as our host. Thank you.
Sara and her team were fantastic when our mum’s wake was held there last Tuesday. The buffet food was really lovely and plenty of it. The staff were as friendly and welcoming as always.
Food and service was stunning, we just found it way too loud. Next time I think we'll ask for a table at the back.....update, just finished a meal with my boys and all food was stunning. I will be definitely coming back here
We were a large group of 24 booked in for Christmas lunch. It was a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived, welcomed warmly by the wonderful staff, we were all served at the same time (not an easy task) with absolutely beautifully presented delicious food. My fish was cooked to perfection. Congratulations to the chef and his staff. Throughout our meal the staff were helpful and attentive, always smiling, nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic and enjoyable experience from start to finish. A big thank you to all the staff at The Star in Dinas Powis.
A great local home cooked Sunday lunch. Nice to see kitchen hours past 4pm on a Sunday.

Deceptive large pub. Nice old pub feel. Food is good and the two members of staff were helpful and friendly. Dog Friendly 🐕.
Shown to our table straight away, once ordered it was with us within 10/15 mins. Food was lovely. Atmosphere was really good. Will definitely go back.
My husband had the mega mixed grill, fabulous. I has a sirloin medium rare, cooked perfectly. My only disappointment was the peppercorn sauce, very thin and not very peppery. But this wouldn't stop us going back because we were able to take our dogs to the dog area. We went because of a special offer, but would pay full price, just don't have the peppercorn sauce.
An enjoyable Christmas atmosphere but not overly noisy. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We didn’t have the Christmas menu due to the short time span of returning from holiday a few days earlier but the food was still excellent and very enjoyable. It would have been nice to be able to have had the Christmas Fare without having to preorder but understand the logistics behind it.
