Outstanding castle with a long and colourful history.
Many features can be seen from the different stages of its development from the Roman foundations, Norman Keep, to the current relatively modern restoration and use as a residence, to name just a few.

Especially enjoyed the Firing Line exhibition & talk about flags. Castle Keep has very steep steps but awesome views from the top. Nice cafe & gift shop, very tourist friendly. Very convenient for city centre too.

For the ticket you get entry into the beautiful castle where you can learn about it's history and look at the beautiful architecture, as well as the option to climb a tower that provides a great view of the city and castle grounds.

Great historic castle with a lot of areas to explore and discover. The only thing I found lacking was some of the historic plaques were well worn and damaged beyond reading. If you want an indepth history of the original castle and its additions I suggest a guided tour.
It is a must-see. It is really beautiful and was worth the visit. I have captured many beautiful photos. You will need to buy tickets at the entrance. Also, it is worth mentioning that You must wear comfortable shoes as you will need to climb many narrow stairs.
Beautiful castle. Great views and the museum was interesting. Friendly staff. Didn't pay the extra for the guided tour this time but I would for my next visit.
This is a must! It is around £16 to get in, but it is a fantastic castle.
The grounds are amazing and there is a lot to explore. I would have liked to go down into the depths, but I think having that intrigue of the unauthorised and unknown areas probably heightens the fascination of the experience.
Cardiff Castle is a true historical gem nestled in the heart of the city. Walking through its ancient walls feels like stepping back in time. The architecture is awe-inspiring, and the well-preserved interiors give you a glimpse into the past.

Inside the castle you can walk around and explore the wall and also enter one of the buildings. The staff was very friendly and professional. They really took care of the building and you can appreciate the effort put
