We ordered at the very last minute before closing. Rushed there and they were still open and handed us the food *phew!*
The food was absolutely amazing! The tofu, was out of this world, so fluffy and delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Drove down from Aberdare to Cardiff for this Chinese as you can't get the same up here.. Called my order ahead and was ready for us when I arrived flavours were on point was nice and hot and the service was friendly as always will be back. (ate it in the car by Roath Park so it wouldn't go cold on the drive home.. Worth it)

Food is great - Phoned up to ask if the Peking sauce was vegetarian and did not get a clear answer. They then hung up. Bad customer service

First time ordering from Lee’s and I must say I was impressed.
The food was hot and tasty, even the chips were hot !!!!!
My only issue was the total amount, I seem to pay more than the menu prices ! Maybe it’s gone up? Or delivery charge, who knows as you don’t get a receipt.
This won’t stop me ordering again as the meal was tasty & hot.

Good food here as i have tried numerous Chinese takeaways around Cardiff. Fast delivery and gave me a refund when they gave me the wrong sauce one time.

I've been ordering from Lee's takeaway for years, food has always been fast and freshly cooked. Don't quite understand the low reviews but I've moved around Cardiff a couple of times and never found a better Chinese than Lee's. Always top quality.

Got to be honest all the other chinese takeaways were busy, I really didn't want to order from this place due to the low rating. But for me it has been the best I've had. Chips are like real chippy chips. And all dishes are not have heavy with oil like other places.

As Chinese takeaways go this is one of the best in Cardiff. A bit dated inside but the food always seems to hit the spot. If you order chips they are handmade unlike the vast majority of takeaways in the area. I hope Lee’s stay open for many years to come.

Have used Lee's many times over the past few years, always found them to be tasty with good food that doesn't break the bank and with timely delivery, sometimes early.
Great crispy shredded beef and excellent prawn toast.

Would leave a minus score if I could, if you have allergies definately aviod they do NOT take them seriously or even understand when your trying to explain because they dont speak good english.
we ordered a chicken satay with NO PEPPERS as I am allergic the order arrived in less than half hour and it was clearly microwaved from the get go, it was full of not just one type of pepper but TWO! The duck was cold in the middle and disgusting a £32 order and we got a refund of just £6 from just eat, absolutely disgusting DO NOT ORDER FROM!

I'm in total agreement with Laura where take aways are concerned. I really don't like it when they try to 'be all things to all men', particularly when they start mixing Chinese food (which I love) with English food (that I could really live quite happily without). This is especially true in this case considering that there is one of Cardiff's finest fish and chip shops just a few doors up from Lee's Take Away!
I'm not denying that Chinese take aways can't do good fish and chips, I know several that can. But as far as I am concerned, I come to Lee's to buy Chinese food and nothing else. I guess that it helps large groups decide on where to order their food if there is more than one style of cuisine on offer, as not everyone likes Chinese food (my sister-in-law for one... which can be irksome at times, as she refuses point blank to consider eating it, which means that everyone else misses out)... so I guess, all things considered, my disapproval is misplaced. Perhaps all Chinese take aways and restaurants should do more than one style of cooking so that I would get to eat it more often!
Lee's Take Away do excellent food, and offer a really good range of dishes. They have a sizeable selction of vegetarian options and their pricing is in line with other take aways. They are doing something that they call a 'meal box' at the moment that is incredible value for money. These cost £4.80 and are comprised of a main meal and side order like noodles or rice. You can choose from about eight different mains, this contains a couple of my favourites like Sweet and Sour Chicken and Chicken Satay, and also includes pork and beef options too.

If you know me at all, you'll know that I can't stand places like this that try to be both chinese take aways and fish and chip shops. Both just end up being horrid. This is the case here really - well, it doesn't end up HORRID as much as just not really that great. The sign above the door says 'Lee's Fish Bar' - but the business listing on here said 'Lee's Chinese Takeaway'. This is, then, at the very heart of the problem. The food is really cheap and the service is pretty good, it's true. However, there does have to be a balance between that and good food. On principle I wouldn't want to eat from here. My reservations were proved correct and I was left with food that was simply adequate.
