I attended a Little Seedlings water play session today
What a great concept !
I was with a group of friends & children aged 2-4 yrs
Plenty to do indoors & out
They all thoroughly enjoyed it
Will recommend & definitely return :)
Santa’s magical candy land was exactly that. Magical. Wonderful for both my 6 yr old and 2.5yr old. Staff were fab from the moment we arrived and stayed in character even when they were ‘off duty’. Worth every penny. Super impressed especially when compared to similar experiences such as Bluestone and Celtic Manor. Couldn’t recommend this more. Thank you x
Absolutely lovely experience at Candyland today. My boys are 18 months and almost 9 and both had a fab time. The grotto was beautiful and there was a good choice of gifts at the end. So much effort put in by everyone. We had a morning slot so parking was fine but the car park was very busy when we left at lunchtime so bear that in mind when setting off. Would definitely recommend. Feeling very festive now!
We visited Father Christmas today with my 4 year old Grandson and he was absolutely enthralled with the whole visit. Starting with the Elf ringing the bell until it was time to leave. Father Christmas and his Elves were wonderful interacting with the children the entire visit. Cannot praise this place enough. Make sure you visit well worth the entrance fee
My son really enjoyed his first trip to Candyland today. We were really impressed with how friendly the staff/elves were and the amazing presentation of the whole area. It felt very relaxed and not rushed as some of these experiences do sometimes. Certainly the best santa visit we have done.
I was a little disappointed with the quality of the gift once opened (quite a flimsy transformer toy) however it was chosen by my son in the shop so cannot really complain!
Thank you
What an amazing journey through various magical rooms and with lovely characters eho were great actors and so nice with the children. Our 3 year old loved the experience. The toy shop and hot drinks stand at the end are amazing also.
My daughter visited Santa with my grandson yesterday, and she said it was magical for the children, and would recommend highly. Could be expensive if you have a few children, but as a treat why not get them off the screens for a couple of hours, they are only little for a short time. The staff were great and children got 45min slots just a few each time slot, so made to feel special. Thankyou
We visited Santa in Candyland today and it was absolutely incredible - the staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. The experience was amazing and my little boy absolutely loved it (and to be honest - so did I and his dad ) The effort that the garden centre has gone to for the experience is second to none - if you've booked to take your little one here you will not be disappointed
Went to visit santa here today and would recommend to all family and friends! What a great experience, really gone all out with the whole "adventure" of meeting santa! All goes to a good cause which is a bonus. Hats off to Pugh gardens- fantastic!
Went to candyland tonight and it was absolutely amazing! My 7 year old and 2 year old absolutely loved it! Thought it was even better than the Celtic Manor! Definitely recommend here!!
Amazing afternoon spent at the Candy Land to see Santa! Our little boy loved it, us parents and grandparents loved it even more! Such a magical experience..well worth every penny!! Thank you Pughs Garden Village
Lovely morning yesterday at Pugh’s for the Little Seedlings Muddy Kitchen. Lots of different sections, variety of different mud and the staff were fab. The kids had a great time digging, pushing vehicles through the mud and making mud pies 👍🏼
I visited Pugh's garden centre yesterday to buy planters which they now have in their sale! A wonderful selection were just being put out and the prices are fantastic. I also went to look at the roses although I didn't have room in my car to buy plants. The gentleman working on the department was called Mac I think and he was extremely knowledgeable . He gave me lots of advice about planting and caring for various roses, acers and other shrubs. He was a pleasure to speak to and I shall certainly pop back to buy lots of plants to put in my new pots. Everyone at Pugh's was friendly and helpful and was by far the best garden centre that I've been to.
We had a fantastic time at the mud kitchen event on Tuesday! I can’t recommend this enough! Thank you Pughs! X
What a lovely place for your little ones to have a magical experience going to see santa, would definitely recommend going. Thank you
I always really enjoy a day out at this garden village. There's a good choice of shops, including lots for little people to look at - in particular the reptile shop and the fish in the garden centre. There's a choice of excellent and delicious food in the Pugh's Food Hall and the garden centre has a real range of high quality goods. Is it the cheapest place to shop? Absolutely not, but it is always a great way to pass a rainy afternoon.
Less a garden centre, more a fun family day out, especially (but not exclusively) at Christmas. The fish are wonderful. The cafe is very nice and worth a visit in itself.
I loved coming here for a brunch. Eggs benedict and cup a tea made my day. The place itself is not too bad. Some nice decorations, and they do try to keep it going with a few different themes now and then. The plants looked pretty good and well maintained, but they are more on the expensive side.
Lovely garden centre with lots of variety of plants (indoor and out) at the moment they have their Christmas decorations out which are so festive. Nice photos opportunities for the kids etc.
Sometimes they have gluten and dairy free brownies in the main cafe, that are delicious. But not always, which is disappointing. They do offer a nice selection of separate vegan and gluten free food but the choice of both together is limited and not always in stock. I've asked 3 times in a row now for those brownies and been out of luck. It was a good one..
Love it here. The farm shop is full of great food. Pretty good prices, you won’t get it fresher than from a farm shop!
You can get glass milk bottles and fill them with fresh milk or milk shake and there’s also a reptile store and a few other stores to visit. The garden centres has lots of variety too!
Nice garden centre with a decent cafe attached.
Cakes were nice and coffee was very good.
Large garden centre with numerous shops and outlets on site. Called in just before Christmas. Christmas displays very impressive. Had a nice baguette and coffee in the cafe/deli. Lots of interesting produce available.
Plenty of parking. Easy location to get to with various routes from central Cardiff. Excellent variety of indoor and outdoors plants.
The "watering can" cafe is nicer in my opinion than the mini cafe in the food hall.
The pies from the food hall deli are AMAZING
Love visiting this garden centre, especially near Christmas. Their displays are beautiful and always great for a photo opportunity. There's a great cafe on site too with lots of choice, and reasonably priced. Parking can be tricky during busy times. Lots of other stores near by to visit too.
Always a nice place to browse and, this time, purchased a reasonably priced Christmas tree - £29:99, which I thought was very good.
The garden centre's food hall offers a delightful selection of items. The butcher was exceptionally friendly and provided valuable assistance. The cafe's coffee and food were both of high quality.
Always lots to do and see here. With a huge selection of plants, both indoor and outdoor there's something for everybody.
Aside plants, they do small food items, seasonal decorations and general garden furniture, decor and such. The plants are healthy and they stock some rare specemins as well.
A lovely garden centre spread through a number of polytunnels and rooms. Great quality plants and a surprisingly large amount of products. Cafe has nice cakes and tasty food!

Went for breakfast in the Cafe and then shopped in the Food Hall. Very nice breakfast but not the cheapest. Staff were lush. Food Hall was great with loads of choice. Could have bought everything in there. Now have a freezer full !
I called here on my lunch break, following a super informative work meeting which made me sooooo hungry.
I love farm shops, this is no different, bloody expensive. Really cute things, though. I went for their coronation chicken baguette (£8.50?????) Will remain shocked I paid that, forever. Desperate times.
Will say, bloody delicious!! Which made the financial hit a little easier..
All in all, cute, but very expensive. Four stars reflected purely on the deliciousness of the baguette and do not reflect the price.
We called here for breakfast on Saturday.
We had a vegan breakfast and standard breakfast with an orange juice and a capaccino.
As always, the staff were so friendly, happy and helpful. You can't fault the service here.
The breakfasts were OK... but you literally get a spoon of baked beans in a tiny ramekin dish, and the overall breakfast portions are quite small for the price when compared with similar cafes.
The cafe area and the conservatory are always spotlessly clean, and it's a lovely venue for a quick bite to eat or for a cake and coffee.
Went to look for tomatorite and chicken manure didn't buy as more expensive than b and q had a look round lovely coffee shop really good service nice variety of food really busy in coffee y but you are able to get seats .special seating for people with dogs also outside seating .good variety of plants and tubs but a bit on the expensive side. a nice deli opposite garden centre with lovely butchers inside but as you would expect a bit expensive also a number of other shops available clothing household pet shop also aquarium a nice afternoon out but don't forget your purse
Our favourite nearby garden centre! They have something for everyone but it can be on the pricier side, but nonetheless there are some cheaper items there! Lovely plants and have had a blueberry bush from them for the last 7 years and is still alive.
